Ballet Class Cranks That Soulja Boy!

The hip-hop dance Soulja Boy, which was created by the artist of the same name, has taken over the charts and every dance floor in America -- and has now trickled into ballet. Crank that pirouette!

The playful but complex dance has more steps than AA -- and is also hard for some folks to do. But it's not a challenge to these pint-sized professionals. Watch lil' man in the front work it for the camera. Superman that!

32. The person who mentioned the meaning of Superman Dat Hoe is right... go to
www.urbandictionary.com and enter superman and read the definition. A local radio station was talking about this the other morning and parents were calling in because some of their kids know what the term Superman means. I'm sure all kids dont know the definition but why let your kids dance to this song or sing this song when you as a parent realize the meaning of this song. I mean there are 8 year olds who are finding out what Superman means at school... I think this song needs to be pulled off the air or the artist needs to change the lyrics for the radio.

33. Man there are some A$$Holes here (criddler & gaywhiteman) they are kids having fun instead of out causing trouble. Why do you have to be racists and sexist?

36. @OCD
Not true, it just depends of what type you are listening too. There are so many different varieties of rap not just one. There are a substantial number of rappers who don't talk about the things you mention, but they're albums just don't sell millions so people don't know about them. The media would rather focus on those who are negative rather than the ones that are positive.

37. So let me make sure I understand...if you don't know what it means, it means nothing. How very enlightening.

FolksAreSick - you're right. To those who say that's bull need to check out some of the urban websites - they'll break it down for ya. To those who think your kids don't know what it means are totally in denial.

41. I read the lyrics from a website my son visited recently and I must admit, the meaning behind the words are not what we wish to teach our children. By the time the kids are old enough to realize what they were dancing to, hopefully they will have grown to become informed individuals who can then just simply pass it off as something fun that they are happy they didn't really quite 'get" at the time. I remember being at a beach once blowing up ballons that we found laying around until our parents got wind of it and made us stop. The balloons were actually condoms. I also remember a song that went "Sock it tome, sock it to me, sock it me..." and a couple of little boys we knew were paid a dime by the nighborhood drunks to walk around singing..."Ooooh weee!!! Your killing me!!!". That song seemed to suggest that some woman ws really puttin' it on some guy. But we didn't know until we were old enough to know our own minds about the implications of the words to those songs. It didn't turn me into a nasty ho, nor did it stop me from becoming a very loving, attentive mom and Grandma. We do have to talk to our kids today about the meanings of many things, but be sure that you don't make them too aware too soon. I tried to explain something to my six year old not too long ago about my brother's girlfriend visiting our home with him versus his wife being hurt if she knew. My six year old replied that she didn't know her uncle had a girlfriend. So, I was trying to explain something that didn't need explaining. My 11 year old needed that talk, but the six year old didn't. See what I'm saying? Sometimes we really don't have to into details.

45. As for him being gay for doing ballet.... do you know how many football players take ballet to gain skill to play?!?!?! A TON! Ballet does not make you gay. It is great to see kids in extra activities to keep busy. Keeps them from being out on the street learning what a superman is. As for my child he is 4 and loves the beat to the song and I am not going to tell him what it means. He is a kid, he doesnt need to know. I think there are all too many songs that are too graphic but thanks to the PUBLIC...... thats what sells.
