Ballet Class Cranks That Soulja Boy!

The hip-hop dance Soulja Boy, which was created by the artist of the same name, has taken over the charts and every dance floor in America -- and has now trickled into ballet. Crank that pirouette!

The playful but complex dance has more steps than AA -- and is also hard for some folks to do. But it's not a challenge to these pint-sized professionals. Watch lil' man in the front work it for the camera. Superman that!

TO # 36 College Grad

The only kind I know is what is on the radio. I just kinda changed the dial and went, "Well, now that I experienced rap, I can say that it was....loud and confusing."

It's the old fart in me coming out.

Old farts are over 30, right? *grin*

48. So what if it does mean whatever Fool of Folksaresick said. The kids are having a good time and not worrying about the sick meaning of the song. I enjoyed watching them dance to it. Get a life foolissick or whatever your name.

49. @OCD
I wouldn't quite say Old Fart yet, but i understand b/c i had the same perception of Rock music...to me it just sounded like a bunch of screaming and drums. Of course its not my preference but hey some people love it. My mother on the other hand just thinks that rap music is a bunch of garbage and rarely listens until i present her a song that has some lyrical content besides a womens ass and selling drugs.

50. I agree with #41. My kids know what I approve of and what I don't. There are alot of songs that they know that they are not allowed to listen to because you can actually understand the words and they are so explicit. With this song, they do not think that's what they guy is saying anyway. I think they think he's saying "superman that! Oh!" Like a previous poster said, a lot of kids think that it's the name of the move in the dance. They actually teach this dance to my older son in PE during free time.

54. "Soulja Boy up in this hoe
Watch Me Crank It
Watch Me Roll
Watch Me Crank Dat Soulja Boy
Then Superman Dat Hoe"

(then later....)...

"Soulja Boy up in this hoe
Watch Me Lean And Watch Me Rock
Superman Dat Hoe
Then Watch Me Crank Dat Robocop"

go to urbandictionary.com and see what their explanation is for the term "superman that hoe"

This song is nasty and disprespectful, especially to females.

55. I don't like the lyrics of the song, and yes folksaresick is right. That is the meaning of superman. No it hasn't happen to me. I don't allow my daugher to even sing that song, and she doesn't listen to the radio, or watch BET or MTV for that reason. I want her to grow up to be a healthy, secure and mature woman. There's so much crap telling her she nothing but, a piece of ass or a b*tch, or hoe. So I don't think that's it's funny for little kids to dance to such blatantly disrespectful music. Call me old fashion, or crazy I don't care. But, that's my story and I'm sticking with it.

60. If your kid is over the age of 8 and in the public schools - they know what this song means. But if it makes you feel better thinking they just "like to dance to the beat" keep on dreaming.
