Two More WWE Wrestlers Suspended

Chris Masters, DH SmithDH Smith and Chris Masters were both suspended by the WWE on Friday for violating the league's Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy.

Masters received a 60-day suspension because it was his second violation, while Smith received only 30 days for his first violation. Smith is the nephew of wrestling legend Bret "Hitman" Hart. The WWE wouldn't say what they tested positive for.

The WWE suspended 10 performers back in August, but as part of a new policy, this is the first time they have released the names of those suspended. WWE spokesman Gary Davis said, "WWE is very serious about eradicating the use of steroids and the abuse of prescription drugs, and we hope by making the names of our performers public it that will be a further deterrent to the other performers."

16. Did everyone forgot that wrestling is staged? Why would any wrestler use drugs to boost their performance when they already knew who will win before the match? Stupid publicity stun.

19. Bottom line, WHO CARES! Since when did TMZ become so concerned with the wellbeing of wrestlers? Shouldn't you be out seeing if Britney farted today, now thats news. Remember kids steroids kill you and your dreams, I mean look at Schwarzennager or guys in the NFL, they are living in the streets off handouts, right TMZ?

25. Taking steroids to 'enhance' your performance and appearance is assenine. The health risks and consequences are NOT worth it but even the best actors in the ring get slammed around and injured so I'm sure more than a few take prescription pain medication on a fairly regular basis. I suffer from chronic pain myself and can honestly say that 1000mg of Naproxen works wonders - and it's not habit forming, just prescription strength Aleve. Have to wonder though, do these guys also loose income during their suspensions?

26. HA! Do you really think a 30 and 60 day suspension will have any effect on these guy's.

None what so ever. They will just go on vacation and laugh at the WWE.

It's all show by the WWE, just trying to give a better image for a sorry organization.

29. You know, everyone is assuming that they are suspended over steriods when no one has said WHAT drugs they were suspended over! For all we know, it could be cocaine or pain killers!

Let the facts come out before you jump to conclusions! Everyone from the "peanut gallery" assumed that Chris Benoit went crazy on steriods back in June in that whole ugly double-murder suicide but it may have been brain damage more than steriods, not to mention they didn't find anabolic steriods but a high level of testosterone (which is technically a steriod but isn't linked to so-called "'roid rage").

My point is that people are already saying steriods before anything else is known. WWE isn't releasing what they were on so its anyone's guess. Just don't assume its steriods okay? There are other dangerous drugs out there.

30. To #23, I agree with you. I think these two (while may be taking drugs) are just scapgoats to try to do damage control that they've been doing since the while Benoit thing. Personally, I think they are over-reacting and doing this is actually raising suspicion rather that calming it down.
