Drop the Chalupa -- Dog's Going Nowhere!

A federal judge in Hawaii has ruled that bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman will not face extradition to Mexico on charges of "unlawful deprivation of liberty." The Dog is finally free!

The judge found that there was no evidence that Dog, son Leland and brother Tim were actually charged with an extraditable offense or that a "valid warrant for their arrest exists."

As TMZ first reported
, a Mexican trial judge threw out all charges against Dog and his associates last August, but a federal judge said he needed more time to look at the case -- and went on a 3-month vacation! That judge finally ruled today, ending the Chapman's Mexican legal nightmare.

The group had been charged for their role in the 2003 capture of Max Factor heir Andrew Luster, who disappeared while awaiting trial on rape charges in California -- he was convicted in absentia. Bounty hunting is considered a crime in Mexico. Luster currently sits in the slammer serving a 124-year prison sentence.

182. Zyzzzva.......By reading the comments it appears you give your race a bad name. Shame on you, and you are NO better than The Dog. Noone is better than the other. Teach your kids that, pouty mouth.

183. When I'm in town or, God forbid, have to go to the mall, I regularly hear "Cracker", "Whitebread", "Whitey", "Honkey" and a few other endearing terms that make me feel not so loved but these aren't racist comments according to the ACLU.

I see and read things about BET, Miss Black America, "The Black Chamber of Commerce", "The United Negro College Fund" but none of these organizations are racist according to the ACLU.

I've been told by black people who seem to be decent hard working folks and people whom I get along with just fine that I am hated by most of my Southern black neighbors because some of my ancestors may have been slave owners but according to what I've read, these attitudes are not racist according to the ACLU.

This entire situation of a very immature son who was angry with his father to the point of baiting the father into a recorded private telephone rant is totally absurd and has been blown totally out of proportion. If Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton had been the party making comments about white people, we would never have known it took place because it would not be newsworthy.

Now I'm not quite as dumb as your average fence post and it seems to me like Mr Chapman's First Amendment right is being stomped on really good. I wonder if much of the venom that is being directed in his direction could have anything to do with the number of black criminals that he has captured and helped to put back in cages where they belong.

187. This should be a lesson to anyone using the "N" word especially, if you're not Black.
To me the word is derogatory and should not be used not even, by Blacks..
I believe Blacks use it because they feel they can.

I'm a Latino. For some reason some Latinos think that they can use the "N" word and to be quite honest one day it's not going, to be accepted and you will be, in Chapman's shoes.

My Latino brothers, the word depicts the despicable and unforgiving way Blacks were treated in this country and each time you use it, it should remind you of this treatment and discourage you from using it at all.

188. I hope Mr. Chapman and his wife will see this. First, I love all people. My husband marched for civil rights in the 60's. I protested the Vietnam War. My dream has always been that we all get along as people regardless of race or religion. I believe that dream is coming true. However, we are so very aware of offending each other that we have fallen into the game of gotcha. Taken out of context so much of what we say can offend. A private conversation between a father and son should be off limits. We don't know the intimate history between these two. It's none of our business. Mr. Chapman obviously loves his children and believes he is doing good. I don't know anyone who has not regretted something said in anger or out of emotion. Fourtunatly the rest of us we are not being recorded when we speak in the heat of passion or momentary anger. I know Mr. Chapman is not a racist and I wish him all the best.

189. LIfe is hard for everyone--- let's go forward with the guys who are willing to GIVE instead of ask what's "in it for me?"- or say "I did it because you made me" ---- I think Dog has a place -- like it or not ~ he's out there working to keep people alive. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but I'm an educated female living in an affulent town in Atlanta, Ga. This is a man who does what we all do ---- say, do - act in a way we are not proud of at times .... The time given to his "crime" is more brain frustrating than the time spent on problems that face us as a nation in 2007 --

Dog---- I have three children and I would be honored for them to meet you and know you and what you've gtried to accomplish... Best of luck!!!!

190. I am glad that Dog is finally free! Now Dog you need to concentrate on forgiving yourself for saying the N word. I think your son sold you out, and that was wrong. This should have been dealt with in a family matter, and the girlfriend needs to butt out. She is putting a wedge in Dog's family. Pray that God will put peace in your family. A&E will restore your show once America stands up to them and fights for your shows return!
