47. Oh, for the love of all that's sane & holy! Naomi Campbell is NOT American, so she can go stick Chavez up her derriere, for all anyone over here should care! And if the moronic "terrorist" she went to visit thinks that it was somehow a slap in the face to Bush (or anyone else with half a brain in the US), the more fool he. This silly sow hasn't been relevant since 1998, so who cares what she does? 51. The worst thing she can be in this situation is a complete idiot. The best she can be in this situation is a covert agent like Julia Child or Valerie Plame.

I am just amazed how celebrities can actually believe that their wealth, somehow by osmosis, creates intelligence about world politics. I wonder if she even knows a thing about Venezualian history, other than their propensity for winnng Miss Universe titles?.

We are all entitled to our opinions, but, an ordinary citizen should not be niave about world politics. There are always hidden agendas. You can never know what message you are manipulated into sending. Leave this high stakes game to the professionals Naomi, stick to your cell phone diplomacy.

54. I didn't voted for Bush, but Chavez had the audacity to insulted our president in our own land. But to those who visit Chavez this is the last news that is coming from Venezuela:

"Chavez, a close ally of Cuban leader Fidel Castro, warned that foreigners who publicly criticize him or his government while visiting Venezuela would be expelled from the country"

Bravo Chavez, I guess you are aloud to express your views in a foreign country, but under your regime people will be persecuted for doing exactly the same thing. You are without any doubt, a good communsit.

56. I am from Venezuela and to all those who think he has done something good in this country, here's his resume:
- Bought a new presidential plane when the original one was in perfect working condition and had all the necessary safety and security features for a president
- Created a general feeling of resentment among all Venezuelans when this was NEVER EVER the case
- Increased the level of poverty from 40% to more than 70% in just 10 years. Under poverty line means that a household can not meet their basic needs with their salary.
- Promoted the "runaway brains" program: young adults who were educated professionals had to leave the country to seek better life conditions and prosperity
- EACH weekend more than 35 people is assassinated as a result of violent robberies and assaults to take, mostly, their vehicles
- Created a list of 100 names for girls and 100 names for boys which must be used to name all babies
- In 1995, 1 US$ equaled 170 Bs. Today 1 US$ equals 2,950 Bs (officially). Parallel market value surpasses the 4,500 Bs mark.
- Rewrote the constitution while in prison
- Created a popular market chain with D class food and groceries who make all its consumers sick
- Employed foreign medical doctors while perfectly capable Venezuelan doctors wait for their paychecks for over 3 months
- Fired all the experienced and capacitated personnel from PDVSA, the national oil company to put in their place his family, friends and party partners
- He stole the votes from the elections each time. I have a very close friend who had to work the night of the election with an armed National Guard next to him saying "watch what you're doing"
- Destroyed the middle class (it was 28% 10 years ago, now is reduced to 5 or 6%)
- No Venezuelan can walk on the streets without turning his head every couple of minutes
- If a common citizen wants to buy a new car, he needs to put his name on a list and wait for over a year and get whatever color and features the car has. I have a friend who got a canary yellow SUV
- My mother is 75 years old and can't afford to retire
- My current job position (mid management) in Venezuela makes about $10,000
- He introduced the doctrines of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro into public schools and he's currently threatening to do the same thing to private schools
- All kids belong to the state until they are 18

The list goes on and on... he's a cancer and unfortunately he's going nowhere
