Dog's Son Wags Tail for Pop

One of Dog Chapman's sons is coming to his defense, claiming his dad "is not this monster that people think."

TMZ TV had an exclusive interview with Christopher Hecht, who tried to defend his mulleted father by offering such gems as, "My dad's not a racist man, if he was, he would have no hair, he'd have swastikas on his body and he'd go around talking about Hitler."

The Dog has been enduring serious heat since an N-word tirade was leaked to the National Enquirer by another son, Tucker, last week. A remorseful Hecht also sold an anti-Dog story to the magazine -- for which he was paid $6,000. He is now apologizing to his Dog dad, claiming he agreed to talk to the tabloid only for the money. He even offers a thought of what happened between his brother and father. Judge for yourself!

106. While this is an ongoing issue, I think we need to get on with more important issues. As one comment says, this is a word that is used by African-Americans. What if everytime a white person was called a "cracker" they went running to the media? Would there be as much media coverage? Makes you stop and think.

107. The "N" word refers to a persons character in todays language. It had another meaning years ago. If I remember correctly, it was in Webster's dictionary. That is the way Dog used it, referrig to this girls character, not her skin color. He even said,"I'm not talking about skin color." And apparantly he was right. Tucker sounds like a crack ho, that six thousand won't last long. I don't know how long Dog has been clean, but the years of drug abuse affected everyone around him and takes time and a lot of work on the healing. I think his show is educational, it shows how this drug is overtaking our neighborhoods, and most of these people are redeemable. When he shows compassion, and prays with them, tears of regret and shame flow. Drugs are a very powerful enemy and it fears Dog Chapman.

108. I was so happy to see that A&E dropped this ignorant, foul mouthed creature from their programming. We are from Hawaii and believe me, he and Beth do not represent this beautiful island in any way shape or form. When they try to speak "pidgin" (which is a dialect spoken by many but not all of us) they are an absolute travesity.

The plain and simple way to express this, is that they need to "go back to the trailer park from whence they came ". We do feel very sorry for the children he keeps bringing into this world. Especially the daughter he calls "Baby Lisa". My goodness, she is not a baby. She has a baby of her own. We stopped watching this show long ago because of what has been mentioned above and the ignorance they portray, along with all the barely bleeped foul language.

109. My 86 yrs old AA aunt of perfect health & mind - yes perfect health loved her some Dog and even moreso Beth. She's so upset by Dog's ranting she vowed never to watch the show again! She even emailed a petition
for him not to be returned to Mexico to face charges.

Dog's biggest remorse is his current and future potential losses.

He's only saving grace for my aunt and myself is his quote about "its not because she's black but her character" comment. I will watch him on Larry King tonight to get his side of the story and make a concrete assessment about his sorrow. As my aunt & I are Christians as well as he claims to be we were taught what he said is forgiveable. However, we are also taught you have to pay for the consequences. I can never watch his show again, but I do not wish him unemployemnt.

I truly admire and respect A&E's swift decision for suspension, and hope he finds the true love of Christ for all people.

110. I can't believe that a man in this day and age is being brought down like this for a private conversation he had with his own son. People need to lay off........african americans throw the" N" word out there like it's an every day word like hey, hi, hello or in place of someones name, but let a white man do it and it's hell to pay! People need to get a grip and stop being so sensetive about these things!!! If a black man can say........then a white man should be entitled to as well!!!!! Stop the blacks from saying it and maybe the rest of the world might look at it differently and stop saying it to! It makes me sick the way people are treating "Dog" for saying something that he was probably brought up around the usage of the "N" word from all different nationalities!!! A & E is a joke for pulling his show and now I will be boycotting their station all together and will incourage others to do the same!!!!!

112. Come on get off his back... When everyone on here that has said something negative about him can prove to the world that they are perfect and have never said anything hurtful to another person then we will praise you and make you the next leader!!!! Everyone on here saying something negative about him is no better than he is. You are hurting someone by your words just like he did. He owes you nothing, hmmm.... maybe we should sue all of you for your negative attitudes.....

113. They should have got rid of him back when he was a fugitive from justice. talk about calling the kettle black. (no pun intended) . I think people are done watching a wrinkled up old man with a mullet with a wife too fat to fit in skin tight clothing with breast so big, she cant see her feet. (gross).

114. I totally agree with janetb's posting. I am sick and tired of this double standard, African Americans can use the "n" word but no one else can. I hear it everyday as a form of greeting. Dog and his family are being called rednecks, inbreeds and white trash while calling him racist! Does anyone see the double standard here? This was a PRIVATE conversation! We as AMERICANS have freedom of speech and should be able to say whatever we want in the privacy of our own homes. His son sold him out for a few bucks. He's the bad guy in all this. A&E totally over reacted, or were pressured by Al Sharpton and his rabble rousers. A &E will never be viewed in our homes. This is the same sensitive network that aired "Growing up Gotti" HBO & Showtime will pick up this show.

116. I have watched this show since it came on, and I love it. At least there is someone out there who is trying to help get people off of "ice", and bring them to justice. Shame on his son for selling his father out. Shame on both of them. I agree with those that posted before me. If they don't want the N word used by white people, then black people need to stop using it too. It is a slang term, that although is certainly negative shouldn't be excluded from being used by one "color" of person. Isn't that also being racist? And for heaven's sake, Al Sharpton, and the Rev Jesse Jackson. . . GO SOMEWHERE!! I get sick and tired of how black people are oppressed, and how the white people owe them something because of our U. S. History. Racism will always exist because of people like them. Let it go. . . and quite assuming everything is because of one's skin color. From what i have been told, my ancestor's didn't own any of your ancestors and I am tired of hearing about what you are owed. Get out there like the rest of us and EARN your place. Sorry for the ranting, but come on. It is these people that are keeping the separation of color going on.

117. I AM SICKENED BY DOG'S TWO SONS, AND HOPE THAT DOG WILL HOLD BACK ON FORGIVENESS THIS TIME FOR THESE UNGRATEFUL SONS. THIS MATTER IS A PERSONAL ISSUE THAT HAS BEEN BROADCAST FOR ALL OF THE WORLD, AND THE REAL PROBLEM IS A BETRAYAL WITHIN A FAMILY.

118. I dont understand how that word can be used in soo many rap songs and movies with no second thought but its allowed to destroy all that DOG has worked soo hard for. Everyone seems to forget all the good he and his family have done! What about the girlfriend and the son, out to make a buck SAD!! Try listening to the whole conversation people! WE SUPPORT YOU DOG!!
