Don't forget that Kevin's law firm wants to get paid. The way for them to get paid the cash right away is to ask the judge to award it on behalf of K-Fed.

I've worked with attorneys for years. That money for the legal fees isn't going to ever cross K-Fed's palm. It's going straight into his lawyer's coffers.

This isn't an anomaly. It's the way lawyer's work the system, the courts and the parties involved. If Brit's attorne thought K-Fed had a dime, he'd be petitioning the court also.

It's just the way attorneys roll. Lawyering is a thankless job, but someone has to profit. *wink*

In california when couples go through divorce, the woman always win, but in this case

198. I feel sorry for Britney, I don't think she should have to pay for anything for that peice of crap. K Fed needs to get a job and stop living off her. The only reason he wants those kids is to get her money, I don't understand why the courts don't see that he don't work and Britney has to pay for everything. Plus how is he going to take care of these kids oh with Britney's money thats how but obviously the court doesn't see that. I hope Britney makes a big comeback and performs again really dances her butt off.

(lest the court chooses to ignore all his late night clubbing w/ whores & drugs)

I'm neither pro-KFed or anti-Britney. I do believe Britney needs to get both sides of her brain working in tandem before she spends any appreciable amount of time with her children, though.

As far as the "Britney's getting screwed" by the courts deal....

1. SHE was the one who signed the prenup stating how much he would get based on how long they were married.

2. SHE filed for divorce one day before the amount of KFed's spousal support (based on the prenup) would increase.

3. She knew he hadn't and never would make the amount of money she had already banked. She chose him.

As far as any inequities are concerned, women have been asking (no, DEMANDING) equal rights for years.

At this point, we can't pick and choose which "rights" we want to apply to us and which ones we don't. We have to take the good with the bad...just like a man would.

I don't think the judge or the legal system is treating Britney any better or worse than they would a man in the same position.

205. That is soo not ok.
1. The judge just set a precedent that a performer does not have income. ( Um hello that means he does not have to pay taxes)
2. They published thier monthly spending last week and for someone who has no income and cant pay his legal bills ..... Why is he spending 5000 a month on entertainment? You can not say in one breather I have no income and then spend 5k a month on fun!
3. It is just not right. Legal or not to sue your exwife for custody of your kids, have your lawyers dig up trash on her, and publically insult her and then say oh hey now you have to pay for my bills!

Now I dont like Britney Spears... My daughter is not allowed to listen to her. I definelty think she needs those parenting classes and I definetly think that she would do good to get some mental help. she needs it. But I also think that she is being treated unfairly by the judge and the court and should fire those lawyers and get a good lawyer that plays just as dirty as her exhusband does!

I Dont Like KFed either. I think if you get divorced from someone who was already wealthy and are given a very generous alimony you shouldnt be living high off the hog until it runs out and then demand changes to the agreement . KFed should have grown up and behaved as an adult and gotten some kind of training so he could find employment to properly support his children and himself without depending on court rulings to milk his expenses out of his exwife especially while putting her good name through the mmud at the same time.

206. Here's a thought, Brit's house(s) are big enough, why not just hire K-Fed as the nanny and maid, get him back under her roof with the kids. Then, he has an income, she gets to see the kids when the mood strikes, and everyone is happy.

209. I love how all you people think the legal fees should be the individual's responsibility regardless of income. So, what happens to a woman who has to take herself and her children to a battered women's shelter because their father beats the tar out of her. How can she pay legal fees? But isn't she entitled to find a decent lawyer to help her? If one spouse makes 25% of what the other makes, then 25% of the expenses should be their responsibility. Sounds about right. Seldom do both parents in a divorce make the exact same income.

I see no problem with this, personally.

When my ex and I split, I had two small children and no income (I'd been a stay home mom). In fact, I didn't go to work until four or five months after filing for divorce. Does that mean I shouldn't have gotten custody? We'd have been up a creek, since he was a long haul trucker. Who would have cared for our kids???? I worked until I could get enrolled in school. Then lived on child support and financial aid, graduated with honors, and have supported myself for the last eight years. My ex no longer even pays child support. And I NEVER asked for alimony.

Kevin may not show any income, that doesn't mean he doesn't have some money to care for his children. All of them. The articles clearly say he has assets. And neither of the mothers of his children have said he is a bad father. He had no problem sharing custody with Twitney until she started her downward spiral. Then he stepped in and did the responsible thing.

Wouldn't it be nice if people on here were a little less quick to judge or shoot off at the keyboard? But then, it wouldn't be TMZ.

210. I don't think she's as stupid as we think because else she would spend her whole mothly income every month and she would be renting instead of owning her houses. She doesn't have a fleet of cars the one doing all the spending was him, Anybody can own a Mercedes Benz and thats all she drives he's the one she bought the custom made 250,00 car for which he wasn't allowed to keep anything worth more than 6,500 so all hes has to show for it are some diamond studded earrings. He can't do like Ivanka Trump or Amy Irving he wasn't married long enough to protest that she maintane his lifestyle he is a dead beat I think he only wants those kids for money he's home less than she is.... Also to TMZ you only show negative pictures of her with her kids I went to another site and on 10/28 her and the monitor seemed to be getting along rather well together with the kids and some guy who also had 2 kids in a wagon.
