47. Again, if the organization breached the contract, they breached the contract. We all don't have to like it, but that's how it is. Celebrities of all levels are paid for speaking engagements or worse, just for appearing, all the time. Happens every day. This is no different. They have contracts and are paid in advance to avoid people having them show up and not paying them. From a moral or ethical standpoint it may seem smarmy, but it sounds like she had every legal right to do what she did. Insulting her does not change that.

51. Also, why in the hell is she charging 25 large ones for talking to a bunch of fat girls. GET REAL. It's a good thing that they didn't hear from her either. She isn't fat anymore. She lied about how she did lose the weight which just leads overweight girls to wonder why they can't lose weight like Star Jones did. 58. Star is a celebrity whether you all like her or not. I personally do not have any interest in her show or her life. I just know that all of you who are dissing her should really get a life. She has a right to have her contract honored no matter what type of organization it is. I bet none of you haters would give back money if someone breached a contract with you. Besides, there are two sides to every story...in case you "holyier than thou" people have forgotten. And dissing her on her looks is crazy. God made her...head to toe. I am sure most of you could use a make over. It also takes much courage to get bypass surgery. It is not an easy way out. These people have to totally changed their lives. FACTS: A group of inner city girls scraped up as much money as they could to have you speak to them. You took over $10,000, 2 roundtrip airfare and lodging during the Super Bowl weekend (lodging at a premium). The girls didnt raise enough money, so the good-hearted person you are, you keep the money, use the airfare and lodging to come to Detroit, attend Super Bowl parties and promote your book. The defense rests! GUILTY!
