The Curse of Tom Bergeron?

Is there a "Dancing With the Stars" curse? Tragedy seems to have befallen several cast members recently.
Dancing composite
Just last week Marie Osmond infamously fainted during a live broadcast, and today word came that she sadly lost her father, George Osmond, patriarch of the singing Osmond clan. And Jane Seymour's mother passed away last month.

These unfortunate incidents are just a few of the woes faced by these women since joining the show, Jane also had to skip an episode due to food poisoning and very nearly lost her home in the Malibu fires last month.

Marie and Jane haven't been the only ones to endure The Curse: Sara Evans left the show during a painful divorce, Stacy Keibler suffered a seizure while promoting the show and -- worst of all -- the unfortunate bout of tanorexia suffered by "Dancing" staple Cheryl Burke.

Make it stop, Tom Bergeron! Jane Seymour

31. I have to agree with everyone....this is just tasteless. I'm all for smut and gossip, but poking fun at tragedies and heartache is too tacky. Please remove it.

32. And the only good I can see out of this is that all the people posting agree on how trashy this is. That shows some hope that there is still goodness in the world. Usually people are mean when posting on this site, but even they realize how evil this was.

TMZ OWES JANE AND MARIE AN APOLOGY. TOM TOO!

33. Way to go TMZ making fun of someone losing a parent. It's bad enough that everyday I see the Brit storys I am wating for one that say "Brit farts, film at 11" Leave the death of someones parent alone.

34. Hey, www.theinsideronline.com is a really great site. Not any of this nonsense. No slamming celebs.

35. This is just sick! I'm sure this is exactly what you wanted though. How would you losers feel if one of your parents had died and someone posted what you did?

Isn't there another story on Britney Spears you could focus on instead?

36.
What kind of sick culture exists in the offices of TMZ to allow something as tragic as the death of a loved one to become the punchline of a not even remotely funny joke.? That's low even for TMZ.

37. There definitely is something wrong with the tv watching public. How can anyone make such absurd statements about blaming a person for tragedy in other's lives? Like one of the comments made, it must have been a slow news day for you to create drama when there isn't any. Losing a parent is no laughing matter - I've been there and done that with both of mine and it's devastating. SHAME ON YOU TMZ

38. A lot of tragedy has befallen Dancing with the Stars this season. May George rest in peace forever with his beloved wife Olive and my sincere sympathies to the Osmond family.

39. First of all, condolences to the Osmonds.
And I want to express how disappointed I am at what TMZ has become. This was always a hip, journalistic, fun place to visit. However, someone at TMZ has made a horrible mistake by encouraging the absolutely, bitchy, cruel, malicious writing on the site now. Harvey Levin, this is a big mistake. You are not fun anymore.

40. I truly can not believe you just stepped that low. Obviously you have never lost anyone close to you. My condolensces go out to the Osmond family - Marie dedicated her dance last night to her parents.

Can you get any lower?

42. YOU ARE DISGUSTING AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR "WRITERS" (and I use that title hesitently) THAT IS BEYOND PATHETIC TO EVEN REPORT ON A STORY THIS WAY AND EVEN WORSE TO BLAME THE HOST? WHAT WOULD YOU THINK IF A DEATH IN YOUR FAMILY WERE MADE LIGHT OF TO CREATE A HEADLINE?

~YOU ARE HORRIBLE PEOPLE~

Posted at 1:58PM on Nov 6th 2007 by TMZ should be ashamed...oh no they don't know what shame is, I forgot~

43. How true Andrea #38 - go pick on someone who doesn't care about their family, not someone who's life is all about family.

pull-ease.

44. OK... TMZ... WHERE IS THE REAL STORY OF THIS TRAGIC LOSS OF MR. OSMOND?
WHERE, WHEN ,HOW DID IT HAPPEN? QUIT TRYING TO BE CUTE AND BLAME IT ON TOM...THAT'S RIDICULOUS....
WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? THAT, IS WHAT YOU SHOULD WRITE ABOUT, NOT THIS OTHER CRAP... C'MOM NOW... SNAP OUT OF IT...

45. Is Jennie Garth pregnant again? Did anyone notice the little "pooch" in her belly area? Last week I didn't notice anything. And she kept smoothing her hands over her tummy. Plus the way the dress was made (the white one) with extra material around the middle draped. Follow up on this one TMZ. The last time I noticed a little "pooch" it was on Katie Holmes and now she has Suri, before the news hit , she was at a premiere in a purple dress and she was showing.
