Clearwater PD today released details of their investigation into the August 26 crash. In addition to being arrested for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury, cops also cited Hogan for use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony, a person under the age of 21 operating a vehicle with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and having an Illegal window tint.

Police also concluded that although Hogan and a second car were racing right before the crash, the driver of the second car was not a direct cause of the accident. That driver has also been ticketed for reckless driving.

Hogan was going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone when he lost control and hit a tree.

62. Blame John? You have got to be kidding. This is what happens when a rich kid does something wrong. Blame the other person. Nick will get off. His Dad is the Hulk. He has the money to pay everyone off. I have watched the show, and it really upsets me the way he treats his Mom, and Brook. He is a little smart a**. Hulk sits back and lets him act this way. Why should he let him take the blame for this. He has been given everything, handed to him on a silver platter, and has no idea what the real world is like. Drinking, and racing. Of cource he isn't responible. Just ask Nick. I'm innocent. I'm the Hulk's son I can do anything I want. My Dad will pay my way out of this.
Thanks Hulk and Linda for letting loose on the world, another spoiled brat. I hope you loose everything you have worked for. Go jail Nick. Pay for what you did. His life is over why shouldn't yours be?

63. Just another example of spoiled to extreme rich brat who thinks they are better than all of us because of their unearned $$. Our society is truly very sick.

64. I'm very happy to hear this news!!!! i bet he thought he almost got away with almost killing someone(which he pretty much is dead poor guy) I hope they throw the book at Nick!!! I still like his dad though he seems like cool people.
this kid is soooooooo SPOILED!!!! and has never paid for his mistakes because of who his father is
he needs to learn his lesson you dont drink and drive let alone race and drive!!!!!

65. I am so sorry for Nick to have this happen to him.....(so young).... I also do not have words to convey my heartfelt sympathies for John Graziano injured in the automobile accident who also (so young)
I think Nick has been raised with good moral values. He is not the first young man in this world to drink and drive but it turned out badly for him and his friend, whereas for many other teens who did the same thing (drink and drive) a tragedy like this did not happen. I am willing to bet this accident has not left Nicks mind during the day and his sleeping hours.
I am Thankful to God every day that, I have all my limbs and bodily functions, no matter how many aches, pains. I can imagine being in Johs Graziano situation. How, I wish the tragic accident for him could be changed.

66. Well for starters they were going 130, not 60 and how are you possibly going to blame it on the seat belt? Last I checked we were in FL where the law states the driver is responsible for their passenger... wouldnt that still make Nick responsible?!?
Yes John should have been wearing a belt, if there was even a working belt in the car. BUTTTTTTTT Not only should Nick Bollea not be issued a license, but should have never been DRINKING under 21, should have never been driving, should have never been going 130 in a 40 mph zone!!!!!!
It's about time justice is served!
It's an absolute shame Nick has the right to walk the streets blaming John who faught for this country and our rights and this is what Nick does with his rights, gets behind the wheel of a car and ruins his life?!?

67. After reading most of the comments, I can see whats wrong in this world today. Such envy and hate.............I think you all are jealous that your parents did not Love You as Hulk and Linda have their Son.

68. i do not think anything should happen to him... sad what happened to his friend and im sure he did not plan that, but no offense but people are constintly going well over the speed limit endangering others (not saying its right) and i have never seen a cop put them to jail. Also, if Nick is going to get sentenced the other guy racing him should to.
Yes reckless driving is a felony, which going over 20mph + the speed limit... on highways speed limit is 55 i do 80 if that and people are still cruising past me.

you all act like you have never sped before.. give me a break and stop critizing Nick.

69. It's about time. But the sad part of it all is that he will probably get bail, have his court appearances, then have his court dates delayed, and delayed and delayed and delayed. So the way I see it as long as he is walking around, maybe the courts make him while he is waiting, have him go the hospitals and clean up after those that can't. Those individuals injured just as Mr. Graziano is, as should everyone that drinks, drive and injures/kills someone, until it gets drilled deep into their damn heads.! And to #63 - SHUT THE HELL UP! It's not jealousy idiot, it's called being sick and tired of ignorant people doing ignorant things and then just pretend that life goes on for them and not realizing the damage inflicted on the victims!! Geez drinking at 17, almost killing his "friend" then finally "deciding to turn himself in" and his parents lovingly caring for him while he still roams the damn streets! SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

70. Well lets see, Johns over 21 correct? So who could of possibly bought nick the alcohol? John, and to top it off he let his friend drive home while intoxicated, and didn't bother to wear a seat belt? To me this seems like a set up, a set up to get Money from the Bollea family. I mean seriously, why would you buy alcohol for a minor and let him drive home? Unless, your a moron and to me John seems to be a just that a Moron!

Posted at 6:04PM on Nov 7th 2007 by Chris

71. Drinking & driving under age- what the hell were you thinking? Moron. Not only did you cause your "good friend john" to be seriously hurt you could have killed someone. then you show yourself at at race- tell me does it bother you or cause you any remorse when you see John? You deserve to be tried as an adult. You deserve the book thrown at you - you deserve your license taken away so you cannot hurt anyone else.

72. The Hogan's are TRASH! They never cared when he was out street racing.

They didn't even care if their 19 yr old was dating a 30 yr old man.

Shame on those parents.

73. I am glad that justice is being done and that Nick Hogan, whatever in the hell his name is has been arrested and is charged with a DUI..and for his attorney's and publicist to always infer that "John did not have his seat belt on" is discusting..called
passing the buck." He trusted his good friend, and probably would have put on his seat belt had he know that his idiot friend was drunk, and would speed through a residential at almost two times the limit..

It would be one thing if it was Nick's first speeding, drinking and driving offense, I might have some empthy, but this kid is a drunk, has no respect for others lives, and speed is his middle name..aka SPOILED BRAT!! and it is toooooooo bad that the cops were not so start struck that they permitted this kid to continuously speed without giving him tickets and for the most part and let him off the hook because he was the Hulk's or whomever'[s son he is..I hope that he is taken off the streets for a long time..It is too bad his mom and dad didn't recognize or even care that he was a danger to others and take this fast car away from him..and they are just as guilty as Nick is for not giving a rip, well knowing about his drinking and exessive speed and doing nothing about it..
If this kid gets off the hook because of the celebrity status, this will be the injustice of all injustices..

74. MY REGARDS 2 YA DUDE, HOW COULD YOU? WHY? HOPE PRISON WILL HELP YA THINK ABOUT THIS.

75. What a bunch of haters!!! *shudders*
How unfortunate for this country really. Don't you realize how emotionally unhealthy it is to cheer for more tragedy to be heaped onto an already devastating event? Come on people! Focus some of that energy in a positive direction. Justice will be served. Leave it at that. There will be no winners in this case regardless of the final outcome. Watching more lives being ruined isn't going to make me feel better or change the past. God bless the poor families involved on all sides. My family will pray for a miracle.
