17. Oh, please. This "explanation" is too laughable to be taken seriously. If he had any decency, he would've looked at his son's relationship with someone of another ethnicity as an inspiration to change his ways, but instead, he chose to call his son to berate him about her girlfriend, out of fear that she might overhear him using ethnic derogatory terms and report him to the tabloids. That was his chance to change and he didn't take it.

Action speaks louder than words,too. If he wants to change, then maybe he should start by looking into himself and recognizing that it is NEVER cool to refer to people with derogatory slurs, because believe it or not, derogatory terms are not terms of endearment. You would never refer to someone you like/love as slut, bitch, whore, n---gger, ch--ks etc. People who use these terms use them to be disrespectful and cruel--no other reasons. Once he looks into himself, then he might start doing things that show he has changed--and not just do them in front of the cameras. Look at Mark Wahlberg; he was involved in a racial hate incident when he was a teenager and to this day, he's been working with and supporting causes in the Asian-American communities.
On that note, I don't feel sorry for him, nor do I care what happens to him. Whether he lives, works again or dies is not gonna make me care.

21. i am not a fan. it appears as if he did try to help delana by given her a place to stay, and he did not start having a relationship with her until she was of age.

now about the racial remarks. if you listen to the tape, he says he says that word all the time. in what context, is the question. the answer is in a bad context and that is way he did not want her there or (and this is what i think) his fan base is unlearnt hillbillies or single minded/ everything is black and white, no middle ground republicans because their fathers were with no real thoughts of their own and he did not want them to turn off his show.

24. I find it amusing that all the individuals who see that Duane Chapman did nothing wrong (and should be forgiven) are of white ancestry. These same apologetic racists complain that all blacks use the "N" word too and that "Blacks always call out Al Sharpton when there is a problem." "It's Freedom of speech"; quip the uneducated, INSENSITIVE, UNPRODUCTIVE, racists.

My question is for those who make these sweeping generalizations and pathetic excuses for the DOG is, what type of black people are you friends with that use these terms? Or are you not friends with them and are just talking of the few you have seen in the Rap world and in inner city poor areas? Do you really feel it's okay to judge people on the color of their skin and not content of their character?


If Dog didn't like the girl then fine, but Dog's insulted and entire race of people and his reason for not liking the girl was her race only, he had never met her! He said it would be the same if his daughter brought home a black man and that's not right. She too is not free to love. He fired his son loving someone. He took away the boys income and living, what kind of man does that to his own child? Then he is surprised that his child turned on him! he turned on his son first by not accepting who the boy loves. Dog has no right to do that, no parent does!


I am sure not all the kids like Beth but that was Dog's choice and as a parent Dog should respect his kids choice regardless of color and judge the choices only on their character. Dog is a racist, and a convicted criminal! It's shocking that people excuse this behavior by blaming the son for loving outside his race. I think that most of the whites that blame the son are doing so because they are scared that their children might do what Tucker did and embarrass them by making their racist behavior known to others. It's shocking for them that their kids might let others know their dirty secrets. Well I am glad Tucker stood up for love and not racism. You people backing Dog are disgusting undercover racists who are now finding comfort in your own...and Dog represents exactly what you are!


I can't believe that in the year 2007, with Internet access, education and and the ability to break down social/color borders (like never before) such ignorance could reign supreme! Are these Dog apologists educated about anything regarding black history? It is extremely ethnocentric and highly asinine for these ignorant apologetic individuals to claim that all blacks use the "N" word. Well guess what, I am a Black Canadian woman. My parents are from South American and my background is mixed race (Black mother,White,Indian and Chinese father).


In my entire 37 years, I don't know ANY black person (including those from Africa) who address each other with the "N" word or see that word as anything endearing. I have not met one black person who does, not one, and I have traveled the world. Everybody I know or have met, view it as a highly offensive and an extremely vulgar insult of the highest degree. An insult that was created by white slave owners to insult their black slaves. Blacks did not not create the word for themselves white Americans did, so learn your history!


My husband is German and I have been in Germany for the past 4 months.
They have laws here about things like this, Neo-Nazi displays or even hand gestures can get you arrested. In America no one cares. "Free speech is our right" they cry! Yes, but "Free Speech" must carry responsibility and that responsibility is not to hurt others. It's the reason for Political Correctness fools! And Political Correctness is not just for Blacks but all those who can be hurt by words. Is it because Germany learned something about their past regarding the treatment of those that were the minority and many white Americans learned nothing regarding the history of their countries treatment of blacks? It was only in the 60's that equal rights found a place in American society, yet the war in Germany has been over longer than that. The Germans have learned from their bad experiences (and paying reparations to this day), but many white Americans still wallow in ignorance and are offended to acknowledge (and address) problems created by their history. Problems that still influence and shape their societal behavior in 2007!


I am not asking for special treatment -as I know most whites are not inclined to give me any and never have, but what I am asking is for people to simply respect that the "N' word is a derogatory term and those who use it, (whether in public or private) need education and to learn compassion for those who have been hurt by discrimination (whether it be based on gender, race, religion or sexual orientation). Treat people as you want to be treated.


Dog did not want anyone to know he is a racist. He was scared the Enquirer would find out and he would loose his show. Some can't understand why he is apologizing since that's the way he feels. I'll tell you why... he is sorry for it getting out... he KNOWS It is wrong and does not want to loose the MONEY he makes off the backs of all races with the false image he has conned people into believing.


Oh and please don't talk to me about freedom to use the "N" word and people like Dog being harmless. I have been driven out of my own $600,000 custom home in Canada by a few racist white women on my street who think like Duane, don't like the idea that my home is bigger than theirs, is decorated better, that I have better (and more expensive cars that I own-not lease) than they do, that I travel the world, that I am better educated, that my parents are educated and have money, that my husband is a professional, that I have nice clothes and jewelry. They hate that I look beyond the color of skin, money and social standing to find love and happiness where I can. I have tried to make friends with these people and in doing so was told exactly what they thought of black people being with white men like my husband.


These people are just like Dog so I know what Dog is all about. I have been called names by their kids and harassed while driving down the street. This has happened for no other reason than the color of my skin, my marriage and living in their neighborhood. We are quiet people who don't disturb anyone, take good care of our property, pay our taxes and are law abiding. When charities come to the neighborhood, I am the only person who opens my door to give what I can. I have never turned anyone away. The rest of them all do. My only conversation ever to these people has been one of kindness and they spat in my face.


It has been Germans in Germany that have opened their hearts to me and given me a place to stay and treated me with kindness so as to escape this type of mental torture of those people. So I live around people like Dog Chapman and their thinking. I know how Tucker's girlfriend feels about people hating you without knowing you because of your skin color and it hurts badly! Many of these types put their words into actions when you get to close to them.


It's important that people like Dog are exposed for the racist that they are. The fact that he fired his son over dating a woman of another race says to me that Dog continues to break the law. What other black people has he done this to? It is against the law in the US to discriminate in the workplace. Yet people seem to overlook that Dog is guilty of this. I also find it interesting that Dog oldest son, a few months back, had made the claim that Dog was a racist and hates blacks and gays, so why would two of Dogs children say the same thing if there weren't truth to it?


Consider this man's character. Look how he behaved at the Native drumming ceremony where he challenged tribal elders to fight, or the numerous reports that Dog is a crack head. Or the fact that he lied to a girl telling her he was her father then slept with her. He doesn't even have a high school education and is a convicted criminal. He is NOT (and NEVER should have been a role model) to anyone! This type of individuals should never have been given a show and he is WORSE THAN IMUS ( who I can forgive). He deserves to loose his show. Racism is a cancer and if some whites cannot see that it needs to be killed, then there is no hope for our planet.


Wake up people! Right now the US economy is in bad shape. Your dollar is lower than our Canadian dollar-something that has not happened in more than 50 years, your people are loosing their homes, and their jobs, your gas prices are sky high, your people can't afford to get health care when they are sick, your elderly can't afford their medication and so come to Canada to buy or Mexico. Your children are in Iraq getting killed and killing for the resources of another country, your race related crime rate is climbing, you've lost the respect of many of your international allies (Canada being one of them) your children are not safe in their schools, your President has lied many times to you. You must live with a constant terror alerts in your lives hopping that 9/11 is never repeated again. Did you learn anything from these events? I don't think you have. Instead of coming together as one, you tear each other apart because of ignorance based on race. Whites hating blacks and insulting them, blacks not trusting whites and retaliating. This is a vicious cycle! Why can't some whites understand that the reason why Al Sharpton exists is because YOUR RACISTS PEOPLE created him. You racists and those who are sick of PC give him a platform by your very own behavior and actions-you are your own worst enemy!


If you participated in stopping racism-starting with your twisted beliefs and sweeping generalization about all blacks, behaved in a decent manner, stopped burying your head in the sand about racism, practiced racial sensitivities by not discriminating (and using historically derogatory names for blacks) and stopped calling Sharpton-as DOG DID for support in this case, then perhaps the Sharpton's of the world would not exist! You created him because YOU can't get your act together and treat others kindly, so stop blaming blacks for him! I will be happy for the day to come when Al Sharpton's services are not needed, but until racists learn to kill their cancer and some white people learn to behave better towards others (by judging others on their character and not their color) I'm afraid Sharpton is here to stay. racism will never end, and the filthy history of discrimination will never be forgotten.

28. Anyone who has heard this conversation and then heard his explanation knows that this man is lying. "I thought I was cool enough from one brother to another"?! No he specifically was telling his son to break up with his girlfriend! How can he possibly be on TV expecting people to believe what he is saying now? This is insulting to everyone! Now he is proving that he is not ONLY a prejudice pig, but also thinks that the public has absolutely no intellect at all. He should just apologize for the whole conversation, instead of making it worse by lying about it. I know that people want to believe that there is no prejudices left in this world, but the moment anyone of any race, gender or background uses derogatory language such as that it shows us all how far we still have to go......it truly is sad and disappointing!

I for one am tired of being held accountable for the sins of people I never knew who lived over a century & a half ago. But I'm also realistic enough to know that this hatred will never end for many on both sides.

You politically correct morons need to wake up & understand that you cannot change the way other people feel inside by using peer pressure. This was a private conversation between 2 family members. If not for Chapman's son being a class A jerk, you wouldn't even be writing on this. I hope he disowns the son completely & pursues charges of illegal wiretapping.
