Train Wrecks
Mel Gibson Hits Vegas: No Tequila Sunrise

That globe-trotting loose cannon, Mel Gibson, has landed in Las Vegas -- and TMZ spotted him in the most unlikely of places ... nightclubs! The last temptation of Mel!

TMZ obtained this photo of Mr. Tirade himself, walking into one of Sin City's hottest clubs, PURE at Caesars Palace. Sources inside tell us that Gibson headed up to the VIP stage and had the shades drawn. Now that's ballin'! Mel was also peeped on Tuesday while checkin' the scene at another top-notch club, JET at the Mirage.

Mel sipped on Red Bull and water most of the time -- good thing for him, because he still has to appear at a DUI progress report in February.

We've also heard that Mel Gibson partied at Blush in the Wynn Hotel. Our spies tell us he had a private table and was spotted dancing with Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole. Nice!

33. He's rich and he underwrites movies that appeal to almost no one because his subjects are radical and an iritant. His religious phase is not a phase, he was raised in that environment by a man who is considered a bit looney.

The movie was laughable. It was made ot annoy Jews and most just ignored it, some didn't but the POPE bless his nazi heart made a big deal about it, just in case the world needed antisemitism.

I think he lives in one of those colonies where the houses are always burning or falling....and our insurance rates go up. I think people who live in those areas, with repeated land slides and fires, should underwrite their own fire dept and insuance.

And yes, he needs some work...

35. "about our saviour (and like it or not that is what Jesus is)" Speak for yourself. Jesus maybe your savior, but he's not mine. I want nothing to with your deity or your religion.

36. Perhaps Mel is into buying a 'club' (kinda like the Sinatra/Rat pack did in the old days/daze by buying the Sands Hotel). Good for him - 'tis a free country and if he wants to drink
Red Bull and party - so much the merrier. He's kept his life FAR CLEANER than any
of today's celebs, and his kids are proud of him.

Leave Mel alone, love that movie (see above) "Tequila Sunrise" too. What he has fun,
and the press attacks-cuz he's too clean for them!

38. If the networks can forgive Imus and let him back on television then so should Mel Gibson be forgiven. He's served his time for his slurs. Imus get's forgiven more quickly because he was only referring to blacks where as Mel is being tortured more than Imus for spitting a slur about jews. Who cares about what he said now?

Imus forgiven then forgive Mel.

41. To- SinCity Don't worry about it... Jesus doesn't force Himself on anyone, so if you don't want Him to be your savior, He won't be. But He is MY Savior, though. Because of Him, I will be in heaven when I die. Halleluia, Thank You, Lord!!!

42. " and NEVER siad he didn't believe that the Holocaust never happened! "

Regarding Gibson's comments a few yrs. back on whether the Holocaust happened or not, here is an excerpt from the interview with Reader's Digest (originally given around 2004):

"NOONAN: You're going to have to go on the record. The Holocaust happened, right?

MEL GIBSON: I have friends and parents of friends who have numbers on their arms. The guy who taught me Spanish was a Holocaust survivor. He worked in a concentration camp in France. Yes, of course. And my dad also knows that there were internment camps where many people died. Now, his whole thing was about the numbers. I mean atrocities happened. The thing with him [my father] was that he was talking about numbers. I mean when the war was over they said it was 12 million. Then it was six. Now it's four. I mean it's that kind of numbers game. I mean war is horrible. The Second World War killed tens of millions of people. Some of them were Jews in concentration camps. Many people lost their lives. In the Ukraine, several million people starved to death between 1932 and 1933. During the last century 20 million people died in the Soviet Union. Okay? It's horrible."

http://www.rd.com/content/mel-gibson-speaks-about-the-holocaust/

The interviewer's question was very direct and Gibson could have answered it very directly.. But what he did instead was to briefly answer it. However, he didn't actually address it specifically until later in his answer with: "Some of them were Jews in concentration camps." After which he seemed more concerned about the "numbers game", then quickly went on to compare this with other groups of people who lost lives. I see his answer as typical of people who do not want to address the horrendous events of what happened in the holocaust, but instead belittle the issue into numbers and divert the topic to other tragedies.

As far as Gibson's PR message that he would meet with Jewish leaders -- it was noted in the news not long after that statement, that when a Jewish leader did approach Gibson to speak with him, his public relations people told him Gibson wouldn't be meeting with him. I think Gibson is full of crap about a number of things.

I've also never even seen a photo of his wife, let alone one of him with his wife. However, over the yrs. I've seen plenty of pictures of Gibson with other women, including the night he got busted on his DUI charge. When photos were released on the net showing Gibson hanging over 2 women he just met at the bar he was drinking at -- on his way home to his wife...before he got busted. The photos show a very happy Gibson with his arms around both of them, with beers in his hands. Incidentally, incase you didn't know, Gibson has had a history of drinking problems long before his DUI scandal, including going on and off the wagon. There were also reports yrs. ago that his wife almost left him because of his infidelity. There is nothing new or surprising about Gibson -- he's done it all before, and probably will again.

43. Thank you Whippersnapper, I don't worry about it. :-) And I'm glad to hear your deity doesn't force himself on to others. Now, if more of his followers would do the same, I'd be even happier....including the ones who knock at my door and insist I should go to their church. I'm also not crazy about people trespassing on my property. Btw, I believe everyone should have a right to their own beliefs, as long as they don't try and push onto me. Which unlike with yourself, has been a continual problem.
