Nick Hogan Charged with Reckless Driving

Clearwater, Fla. Police have arrested Nick Hogan on charges of felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.

He turned himself in to Clearwater Police this morning and is currently being booked in to the Pinellas County Jail.

Hogan was involved in a one-car crash in August that severely injured his friend, John Graziano. John has severe brain injuries and will likely require specialized care for the rest of his life.

16. AND HIS PARENTS SHOULD BE THERE WITH HIM!!! THIS CHILD IS A MINOR, AND HE WAS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS ADULT PASSENGER NOT WEARING A SEAT BELT. SORRY NICK, BUT THE LAW IS THE LAW. THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR FOLKS ALOT OF MONEY.

17. good....he didn't deserve to just walk away from the whole ordeal when his friend may never be able to do so again.

18. This kid is only 17 and has had numerous speeding tickets from driving WAY over the speed limit. He was also driving a Supra - a car that is too much for any 17 year old. The Hogans have spoiled him and now, maybe, he will have to take responsibility for his actions. I hope the Grazianos sue their a$$es off.

20. ..LennK # 13..I have to agree with you. I can just picture his dad telling him how everything will be ok and don't worry, blah blah blah...at the very least he will go thru lots of humiliation.

22. I am glad that this ignorant brat will be held accountable for his actions. This is not the first time he has driven at a recklessly high speed. Nick Hogan (Bollea) has several speeding offenses on record. In some states including the one where I live, if you are under 18 and have not had yoru drivers license more than 2 years, you lose it ater one speeding ticket. Maybe FLorida needs to rethink their laws for young drivers. What happened to the passenger in his car is a tragedy and could have been prevented.

It's not that people are jealous of Nick Hogan, of course we would all love to be rich, but he is a rich, spoiled child who is not taking any responsibility for his actions. I think that is the consensus of the group, that he has barely shown any remorse, is still making racing is priority with little mention of his friend. that's my big issue anyways.

25. Unless they find out he was drinking, he won't spend more than 2 days in jail. It's a shame too, because he walks around like nothing happend. Arrogant sun' beach.

26. It is a witch hunt. Young men and cars have always meant speed.

We have to accept that the mobility of our country has a cost and that is people killed in accidents.

Opposite DUI speeding is good and a proud thing to do. It tells your employer and co-workers that you are taking your job serious.

In my country new drivers are taught how to drive on race tracks and it has resulted in both a low unemployment rate and fewer killed on the roads.

27. He's a good kid.....but how about let's all say a prayer for his friend John. Wouldn't it just be great if he had a complete recovery?

28. FINALLY!!!!! I was wondering if this was going to be another one of those "celebrities don't follow the same rules as everyone else" things. Thank God it isn't. That spoiled brat has been so self-absorbed for so long that even a friend in intensive care for something NICK DID didn't phase him-- ridiculous! Book him!

29. FINALLY!!! I just hope it took this long because the police investigators want to make sure they have a strong case (attorneys purchased by wealthy defendants always seem to find some loophole or some way to blame the victims) I wish the cameras were on at the Hogan household RIGHT NOW!!!!! Karma sucks when your a prick, huh Nick?

30. Since I live in Clearwater, I'm privy to more information than has been posted onTMZ. If you are interested in knowing what has happened during the past month with the Guardianship for John, etc., Google the St. Petersburg Times, then do a seach for John Graziano. On top of this tragedy of John's injuries, his parents are in a very bitter fight wth one another for his guardianship (due to their separation) , because of the upcoming filing of a substantial lawsuit. This is a terrible tragedy on so many levels. Fortunately though, I hope a Judge will do the proper thing and do something with Nick before he harms another human being.
