Nick Hogan Charged with Reckless Driving

Clearwater, Fla. Police have arrested Nick Hogan on charges of felony reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.

He turned himself in to Clearwater Police this morning and is currently being booked in to the Pinellas County Jail.

Hogan was involved in a one-car crash in August that severely injured his friend, John Graziano. John has severe brain injuries and will likely require specialized care for the rest of his life.

61. 46. The Hogan's are in denial. They think their kids are perfect and innocent. Like they are not drinking and having sex!! Nick had several chances and Terry and Linda continued to let him get away with speeding. His friend's life is Over. He will live a life worse than death being a vegetable. The Hogans have not come out with an apology or sorrow. They are trying to pay off the family instead. My God Dog the Bounty Hunter is more sorry for saying the N word than Nick is for paralyzing his best friend. Pay back is a bitch and they will pay in the end!!

Why exactly should a public apology be made ?What proof do you have that their paying off Graziano's family ?What family would agree to be paid off for such a thing ?Shooky ,me thinks you should put that alluminun hat back on now -I heard the aliens say their coming for you next .....

62. I just thought of this.. and it makes sense.
Nick can't drive or regular roads, can't drive on a race track, and sure as heck can't wrestle! So this kid is living a lie.
No talent...no brains..no education!!! if that is what home schooling does to kids, when you have someone teaching you, who doesn't know what they are doing???

end result,, he's dumd as dirt. I think the whole "bollea" fmily is a bunch of over arrogant, self absorbed, jerks!!!! Brooke can't carry a tune in a bucket. Hulk can't act and he sure can't do t.v. braodcasting! hence ruining the "New" American Gladiators. 2008!
I say that now because if all else fails, someone will get a new host if nick gets put in Jail.

And for the last time, VH1 cancel hogan knows (Squat) and pull the dvd's too!

63. John decided to get into the car with Nick,, those two BOTH drove fast,, and if John wanted to get out of the car he could of asked Nick to pull over,,
John is just as much to blame as Nick,,
just because John was stupid enough to not wear a seat belt,, he is a veggie,,
that is not Nick's fault,,
John was a grown man,, in a car with a kid ,, he decided to get into this car and go along on a fast ride,,
John is just as much to blame as Nick,,
I think it equals itself out and Nick should not be held accountable because his friend John was a dumb idiot to get into a car with a kid and go fast,,
what an idiot this John guy was,,
and you people that want to hang Nick for this,, well you are pathetic freaks,,
you are all rotten rotten people,,
I hope your kids make alot of mistakes,,
idiots!!!!

64. Okay, the Executive VP (EVP) of Nick's own racing company is the one who released this statement. From reading it, I'm pretty sure that this EVP is one of Nick's buddies. Without much intelligence and definitely no tact or common sense. Bravo for bringing up the fact that Hogan wore his seat belt and Mr. Graziano did not. What a hero! I'm sure that the Graziano family is very happy to hear all of this (since so much of it is lies!). GET OVER YOURSELVES!!! Hogan made big boy choices, now it's time for big boy consequences.

65. Everyone keeps saying that because the family has money he has not gotton in trouble yet, I don't beleive that is true. A family member of mine hit a telephone pole with her 8 & 5 year old girls in the car. The 8 year old did not have her seat belt on a suffered a fractured skull and some brain injuies. The peramedics on scene said she was very close to death. She was in a coma and had part of her skull removed and will soon have another surgery to put that part of her skull back in. Thank god she is going to make a full recovery. The driver recevied a ticket for not having her child seatbelted, accidents happen and people get hurt. It is a terrible thing for anyone to be injuried. But the facts are everyone drives fast at one time or another so to pass judgement on someone for something that could have happened to anyone is just wrong.

66. While I agree that this kid is an arrogant spoiled little rich brat who deserves to pay for his reckless driving that cost his friend a normal life, let's not forget the stupidity of his friend for not wearing his seat belt. We'll never know how this little tale would have come out if he had been wearing a belt but we can be certain that it wouldn't have been what it is. It has always sounded to me like they are both stupid, macho, spoiled little boys who shouldn't have been allowed out on the streets.

67. I'm sure SOMEONE has said it....but lets be real. Do you think this passenger who now has brain damage was sitting in the passenger seat yelling "Stop! Obey the Law, Don't speed, Let me out of this car right now"

He might not have been driving, but he's surely just as responsible for putting himself in the position he is as the driver so why punish the driver so much? lets be real here and not look for a scapegoat.

68. ABOUT TIME! This little chauvinist in training has to learn to be responsible for his actions. Since this accident, he has continued to brag about his exploits and go to speed racing venues when his friend is basically a vegetable........nice guy.

How much do you suppose the family is paying to keep from being sued?

69. I can't believe these people will come out blaming the victim to save their son from his disgusting lack of accountability and responsibility and their poor parenting.

70. i think that he should as a monopoly game board would say 'GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL'

71. There is a lot of blame here....1. giving a young boy a fast car that he CANNOT handle..2..the police for letting him slide on previous incidents, getting pulled over for speeding on several occasions a basic slap on the wrist..he should have had his license pulled...and like other kids in the country, not given back to him until 21 years old...3. seat belts people, no one should be told, it is a law in most states & just plain common sense..4. yes, he was racing and crashed his car severly injuring this young Marine, so now, he must pay the price regardless of who he or his father is, period...what kind of life is john gonna have being in a vegatative state, if that is the case...may god watch over john and nick step up to the plate and take his punishment as an adult, 17 years old you are considered an adult by the eyes of the law...i don't think he meant any harm towards his friend, however, stupid stupid judgement on his part....parents keep giving your kids what they want, vehicles etc.....stop being their friends and parent your kids..his father should have taken the car away from him with his first speeding stop.....very very sad for all...

72. Nick's actions since the accident have shown how very little he is affected by the fact he has basically, for all intense purpose, killed his friend.

He's giving interviews to car magazines about how his car is a p-magnet....he's at car shows talking about racing and drifting....

This a-hole should never be allowed to drive again, he refuses to take responsibility for his actions, and to Nick, well life goes on the same, sadly John's life will never be the same, thanks to Nick Bollea (Hogan).

Yep, the Hogan's are trying to shift the blame to the victim....someone who can't defend themselves, gee because he's brain-dead thanks to the speeding and carelessness of their loser son! Yeah that's right, its all John's fault, Nick's penchant for speeding is not to blame at all...the fact that this little pr*ck thinks that speed limits don't APPLY to him (listen to him brag about being stopped 3 times going in excess of 100MPH), you can see just who arrogant and spoiled and above the law Nick feels he is.

The State of Florida has a lot of answering to do too...all the officers who let li'l Nicky go should also pay the piper, there is no way this little SOB should've still had his driver's license. Of course I doubt that would've stopped Nick from driving, remember, laws don't apply to him.

I hope he does do serious jail time....but I doubt it. A plea will be reached, Hulk's money will come into play, li'l Nicky will be back bragging to magazines about his p-magnet in no time.

73. shame on you tammy -
that's all I have to say about you . . .
beside that NICK deserves everything coming to him . . . that fact that he gets to wake up everyday and breathe and walk around and enjoy the company and support of his family is enough . . . he needs to pay for his foolishness.
All teenagers make mistakes . . . but they don't learn unless they are punished for them and this, my friend, was a huge mistake . . . wheather John wore his seatbelt or not . . . Nick's reckless driving caused this accident and he's responsible for his actions

74. I can't believe that anyone these days drives or rides around without a seatbelt on. There are commercials for it, some cars have automatic ones, and "serious" sports cars usually have more substantial ones. On top of that, cops now cite you for it when they stop you and they see that you aren't wearing one.

75. B A I L.

NO prison time.

Father of the brain-injured soldier, to not fall for anymore of the BS and unlike some family members..... accept any 'turning your head the other way'.... hush $$$$$.

In any event; this has got to be extremely difficult for all involved - Will Nick Boella return to his self-absorbed, wayward routine?

I guess that will be up to him: along with the rest of the Boella family.

Like it's always been.
