Dog's Apology Tour: Barking Up the CNN Tree

Duane Dog Chapman continued his tour of contrition last night -- pleading for forgiveness on "Larry King Live," one night after doing the same on "Hannity & Colmes."

During the hour-long conversation, Dog tried his best to keep the apologies coming, at one point he even started to whimper when talking about his wife Beth's reaction to the shameful situation.

TMZ caught Chapman on his way out the door where he gave our camera a message to his fans -- "Please forgive me."

19. Someone please teach that woman how to dress I find it more disgusting watching her in a tank top then hearing his words.

20. Right at this moment in time Dog would say anything that he needs to say to get this behind him. Just take a long hard look at him and his clown posse, they show their true colors in every episode of DTBH. All are uneducated, racist bigots that appear as if they crawled out of a trailer park. Dog is guilty of racisim or he would have never said what he did. Most fathers and mothers want their children to be happy with their decisions. The right way to talk to your children about wrong choices is to sit them down and talk to them as someone equal and try to explain why they shouldnt make this or that choice in life. Dog on the other hand uses verbal abuse, racial slurs and I am sure if he could have gotten his hands on his son, he would have used physical abuse. This is not a person that anyone in the USA should idolize. A&E stands for Arts and Entertainment and I can see in no way how the Dogs show is anything associated with Arts or is Entertaining in any sort of way. It is a show that shows people how Not To Act or Dress.
Keep these clowns off of the air to prove what racisim, mental and physical violence will colud get you. This will teach Dog and others across the USA to treat people with respect and dignity, no matter what situation they are in. I won't miss DTBH and his group of clowns one second.

22. Why is it ok to call him white trash? Isn't that as hateful as the "n word"? People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Think about it.............

Posted at 9:29AM on Nov 8th 2007 by this is ridiculous

23. Hang the white freak and his family

24. As he said while he was talking with his son it is all about keeping his career in tact and that is what he is trying to do. Almost like a man caught cheating he wasn't going to just come out and tell you he was racist he was found out now he is running around trying to do what ever it takes to keep his career in tact. Kinda like the guy who get's caught cheating when he knows he is about to loose a "good thing" he goes out and tries to buy up all the flowers and rings. He isn''t sorry for what he said he is sorry he got caught. When you are in the spot light you have an obligation to your fans who consist of every race and background. He needs to go away for a while and stop saying he has 'black friends' that makes him look worse. He will be alright let's move on to some real news.......

25. I don't know who looks worse - dog or his raggedy wife.

26. Dang, his wife has a teeny little head.

27. All this apologizing has got to stop. It's ridiculous that people lose their job over saying a word that is used 1,000's of times a day in the black community. Thanks to 90% of the black community the "N" word just doesn't mean what it used to. It's a derogatory name, nothing more, nothing less.

It's time non-blacks stop apologizing for something that black people have rendered insignificant. If it's so "tramatizing" then black people need to look at themselves FIRST and stop using it so freely. Get over yourselves.

Stop apologizing Dog, it's really not that big of a deal.

28. Chapman! Maybe you should try using some black face paint to really make the apology seem legit

29. Dog needs to pick up the phone and directly applogize to Tucker's girlfriend who he admittingly never meant and who he directly refered to as a "n" in his taped conversation.

30. Good grief. All you pious people. You never made a racist remark? Come on. Grow up. And what about Whoopi Goldberg and her then boyfriend Ted Danson, a few years back, with Danson appearing in blackface...you folks forget how "racist" that was? What is this country coming to anyway. Whine, whine, whine. Get over it.
