Duane Dog Chapman continued his tour of contrition last night -- pleading for forgiveness on "Larry King Live," one night after doing the same on "Hannity & Colmes."


During the hour-long conversation, Dog tried his best to keep the apologies coming, at one point he even started to whimper when talking about his wife Beth's reaction to the shameful situation.


TMZ caught Chapman on his way out the door where he gave our camera a message to his fans -- "Please forgive me."

76. i think dog has a drug problem as reported by the enquirer on numerous occassions. i am inclined to think he went on his racist rant while on a coke/ or crack fueled rage. that doesn't make what he said any less hurtful but he needs to get help .. being a druggie fills you with hatred and venom. just my opinion....nevertheless, his tv career is probably over due to his horrible and mean spirited remarks.

80. This is so unbelieveably ridiculous...the man had owned up to his mistake...and apologized. NO ONE has the right to stand in judgement of him except God. Larry King took a poll and as of now an overwhelming 87% of people DO NOT want his show pulled off the air from A & E....but even if they do, how long do you think it will take another network to grab the show?! And I do agree with the fact that this RACE thing seems to be rearing its ugly head on an AS-NEEDED basis...African Americans use the N word among themselves, all the time. People really need to get off of their moral high ground here...no one is perfect.

81. I agree with number 6. I didnt listen to it nor do I care to. Its Dog that has to live with it personaly before he can professionaly. It was in a private conversation not meant for publics ears. You can not honestly say that at some point in your life durring a private moment or thought , that you have not thought something you might regret ,but were thankful no-one new about it. Its time to move on. Dog has always done more good then harm . Again, this was not said to the public but was said in private. The motives of Dogs son should be in question. If Dog is a racist then his children would have been raised with it ,so what does that make them ? Can this son say that at no point in his life he has said or done something he regretted ? Dogs apologized for a private conversation , its time to move on.

82. Leave this man alone. There isn't anyone on this earth that hasn't said something like this in the privacy of their own home, and anyone that says they don't is a LIAR, including the blacks! Get over it! Archie Bunker talked this kind of stuff on his show every day, and nobody got upset over it! We need to go back to those days, and realize it's just TALK!

83. Why don't we insist on apologies from every rapper who has not only used the N word but also degrades women? Why is there such a double standard in this country. Its sickening. You can't preach and demand equal rights but then say its ok for one race or one gender to do or say otherwise offensive things. Either we all can say it or we all can't say it.

85. hate to tell you people, but having racisit thoughts is NOT illegal. Just about every black person has some ill feelings towards whites, just because they are white so get over it!

Personally I would NEVER date a black person because I don't find that attractive. Black people just don't do it for me so to speak, so I would not date one..it's not about being racist, it's the same as a 400 pound person just wouldn't "do it" for me..I just don't find that attractive. For the ones that do date blacks, good for you..Me however, Im not nor will I ever do that..it's just my personal preference.

Oh, and I'm not white..I'm from Guam = Pacific Islander

89. #67 - I was going to say that exact thing too. TMZ writers are always writing nasty stuff about people, I wonder how they'd feel if they had private conversations taped? I could care less what someone says in private - whether it's Dog Chapman, Jess Jackson, Al Sharpton, etc. It is not illegal to have rascist feelings, and certainly not to say pretty much anything you want in a PRIVATE phone call. I don't care what color you are. As long as he isn't treating others badly, I don't care what he said. He should have just said "it was a private phone call" and then shut up about it.

90. Truth be told...who the heck cares!!!!! It is amazing to me , that black people can run around all day long calling each other the so called "n word", but let a white person say it and BAM! they r screwed!
He said once already he was sorry, he shouldn't have had to say that!
Leave the guy alone and concentrate on all the good he is doing!!!
He didn't get this much attention from folks when he caught the "heir raper" and then got arrested for it! where were all you righteous people then??? surely not helping Dog!!!
