Actor Mickey Rourke was arrested for DUI this morning in Miami Beach, riding his blue-green Vespa. Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, is that you?! Jose Lambiet of the Palm Beach Post broke the story this morning. Lambiet says a local paparazzo was on the lookout for Jennifer Lopez, who was in town for her concert when he bumped into Rourke and an unidentified woman around 2:00 AM walking into a nightclub.
"They came back out two hours later and crossed Washington Avenue to go to his scooter," the photog said. "They both got on it, and he did a U-turn to go north. He was pulled over within a block. "The cop says to him: 'You swerved right in front of me.' And Mickey answered: 'No, no, dude, I'm all right.'" According to the police report, Rourke asked the cop, "What the f*** did I do?!" Cops say the actor's "face" was flushed, his eyes were bloodshot and watery and his speech was slurred. "I'm not drunk, I didn't even drink that much," Rourke said, according to the report. Barfly!
He was booked into the Miami-Dade Pre-trial Detention Center around 9:30 AM and is being held on $1,000 bond.
Let's hope he doesn't get sentenced to 9 1/2 weeks!
My friend and I met Mickey R. in a bar on Lincoln Rd a few wks ago and he couldnât have been a nicer guy. Most of the actors in their 20s/30s look up to him and he is well respected. People on this site are so rude sometimes. He has rugged good looks in person and for a guy in his 50âs his bod is in amazing condition. Btw..no one wears a helmet on a scooter in miami beach.
Mickey is still one great actor: Sin City, Domino, Man on Fire ,..... And he really does not look bad: I mean he is no longer 20 and he was a professional boxer!!! He is still a lot more attractive than many other actors his age! And iIbelieve he is a really nice guy!!!
Ohhhhh my... That guy used to be soooooooo freakin hot! Was it only too much plastic surgeries or too much drugs??? Remember him in Two and a half weeks (Yum Yum) but now it'S pretty much Yark Yark :-(
You folks are confusing ugly with character. Mickey is now in his 50s and has had some rough times in life. He was not a lousy boxer as someone alluded to. I think he was actually pretty good. He walked away from Hollywood and has only recently come back after an amazing role in The Wrestler. For those of you who criticize his acting, watch The Wrestler and then tell me what you think.
I am a woman in my 60s and to me Mickey is the epitome of a rugged, sexy man who has been around the block and back again. I think he is gorgeous!!
