107. I'm with you Diane!! Everybody wants to be secure and comfortable in their lives. Just because Shaunie is fighting Shaq's petition for divorce does not mean that she is a gold digger. She is a woman who is determined to make sure that her family gets taken care of and still have their father around. As to the comment about Shaunie not knowing how much money he brings in, he has sooo many people handling his business for him such as lawyers, accountants e.t.c., he probably don't even know... he may know the base figure but.... I would want to know the same info if my husband was a professional athlete divorcing me.. she is just a lady in control of her business...thats all...STOP THE HATE. 109. I diagree. I dont think women should get most of a mans earned income just because he worked his ass off, afforded her a life of luxury and now she wants out. Yes, she should get reasonable child support if she is getting the children, but really he owes her nothing, and she owes him everything. 111. Diane well put, when a women marries a man and has his kids and he makes it to the top making money, she is not a gold digger, she si sa women who offered her body and mind to a man she loves. He was being premiscuous with mis Supahead and this is what it came to. Why isnt a man called a gold digger or a bitch when he marries a woman who is exceptionally rich and successful?

Shaunie is nto a gold digger, she is a women who thought it wouldnt come to this, didnt work because her "husband" supported her and now needs money to take care of her and her kids for the rest of her life. It would be extremely hard for a women who has not had a career or job to jump back out there and lookk for work when she probrably hasnt worked in so and so year.. 115. I don't profess to know everything about this situation. From what I have read, she was caught cheating on Shaq and then she started putting money away in a bank like she was either going to leave him, or knew he was on to her and would be leaving her. How is that right??? Also, yes if she gets full custody of the children she will deserve to be compensated--it is difficult to be a good mother and work, and she shouldn't have to since they have the resources to not do so. Shaq will have to support his children financially, and possibly compensate her for having to give up her career so she can be a full-time, hands-on mother, but any monetary compensation should be reasonable (as opposed to outrageous).

Also, Diane...how can you compare a woman's vagina to gold? That way of thinking (IMO) is how prostitutes think and sets women back over 100 years in their struggles to be recognized as equals. The point of your argument is to deflect people's impression of Shaunie as a golddigger, but it isn't very logical, and appears to suggest the opposite--that she is indeed a golddigger. Woman Oppressor, you're not much better: i.e. "women were taught to do that from birth," not this woman. I'm one of the "few exceptions," and I can't help but wonder if you include yourself in that sweeping generalisation. I don't care for what Shaunie is doing (if the media version is correct), but as a mother I can understand her wanting to make sure that her children are took care of. There are always two sides to everything...a little critical thinking goes a long way. If nothing else give them the benefit of the doubt--we don't know these people personally, and therefore are not privy to their personal motives.

Lastly, Shaq has money coming from so many different venues (NBA, commercial endorsements, acting, royalty checks, etc.), that he probably doesn't know exactly what he's worth either. So, for those of you who question how a wife couldn't possibly know...that's how.

Shaq and Shaunie didn't break up because she was "stealing" money from him. Their assets/cash that was made and acquired during their marriage is called COMMUNITY PROPERTY. Shaunie would be a fool not to make provisions for herself in the case of their dissolution.

Shaquille fathered a child with another woman after he was with Shaunie and he's been cheating on her since before they got married. Shaunie wasn't rich but she was gainfully employed when she met him. She is a very smart woman and her intelligence along with his earning capacity are what enabled the two of them to afford their lifestyle. Shaq has several people in his immediate employ (specifically lawyers and accountants) who are less than reputable. He was not wrong for trusting Shaunie and I don't see where she betrayed his trust. He's been sticking his tiny penis in anything that would have him. He was paying Superhead $10k a month and furnishing her condo, and if anyone deserves to complain about that and all of his other indiscretions, it's Shaunie.

I agree wholeheartedly with Diane. Shaunie is not a golddigger and neither is any other woman who happens to marry a man with money. These so-called men need to stop thinking that because they "pay the bills" they can defile the sanctity of marriage and engage in extracurricular activities that breach their vows.

Shaquille should be ashamed of himself. I am certain that karma will catch up to him in the form of Shaunie. Hell hath no fury, baby.

118. I wouldn't consider her a gold digger but I do think she's greedy. I also think Shaq is selfish. It's only money and I'm pretty sure he squanders lots of money on women he's cheated with. Besides, his accountant is probably taking more money than Shaunie ever will. I wonder why she's hiding money? It's because she's greedy. Reguardless of the prenup she's going to walk away with a bundle of money that she can't even spend in a lifetime. And the kids will definitely be taken care of. Shaq is going to have to pay lots of money in child support so there's no need for her to be worried about her kids being supported. That's a poor excuse. She's just greedy. Shaq is also greedy. If she cheated on him it's probably because he's never home. He's always on the road and he's always trying to act and make rap albums knowing damn well he can't do either. I heard she bought her trainer a condo. If I was Shaq I would totally be pissed about that. He brings home the money and I don't think it's fair for her to buy another an apartment with their money. Some of you guys know every detail there is to know about Shaq and Shaunie. Where do you find the time to do all of this research? Some of you guys say he fathered a child out of his marraige.
