31. He actually looks better here (older) than in his before picture. Too bad more celebs (I know he's not exactly a celeb, but back in the day he was) can't be more like his generation. Go to work, do your job, go home. Yes, they had scandalous stars back then but they weren't so "Look at me! Look at me!" back then. Sigh....

34. This is obviously a hoax, People Magazine reported this man dead a long time ago. Bad taste.

35. I think he lives in my neighborhood. About two years ago he was in front of me at the local Gristedes. He was buying a quart of skim milk. The next year, he was next to me on the 79th Street crosstown bus. Going East Side to West Side.
I must say, he is revered by his neighbors. He is treated like gold. People approach him and tell him how wonderful he is and how much his roles meant to them. Is it very touching and very true. We love him.

36. In 1982, Vigoda enjoyed a little extra publicity when People magazine erroneously declared him dead. Vigoda took the error with good humor, posing for a photograph showing him sitting up in a coffin, holding the magazine in question.
This rumor was nearly started again in 1987 when a reporter for Secaucus, New Jersey television station WWOR, Channel 9 erroneously referred to him as "the late Abe Vigoda." She corrected herself on the air the next day. His erroneous death has remained a running joke for Vigoda.
For example, a Late Night with David Letterman skit showed Letterman trying to summon the ghost of Vigoda. Abe then walked in and declared, "I'm not dead, you idiot!" Also, a November 2006 Conan O'Brien sketch showed an audience member summoning the dead. The "deceased person" turned out to be Vigoda.

41. The great actor who plated Sollozzo, Al Lettieri, met an untimely death only 3 years after The Godfather was released, makes you appreciate still having Mr. Vigoda!
