Prince PFUnks Up His Fans

PrinceBattling with several fan sites of over the use of his material, Prince has decided to try making nice with his biggest supporters the best way he knows how -- through song.

His Purpleness released a new track on his site entitled "PFUnk" and even gave the song to the website PrinceFansUnited.com -- a site formed by three of the largest Prince fan sites as a way to fight back against the barrage of cease and desist letters the sites have received from Prince's lawyers. Controversy!

Here's where it gets strange: A statement was released yesterday by Prince's PR people, calling the Prince Fans United sites "phony" -- only it turns out the statement was sent in error. The two sides are working on a joint statement and hope to have the matter resolved soon.

Earlier this year, Prince and his record label fought with YouTube over a 29-second video of an 18-month-old baby dancing to Prince's "Let's Go Crazy." How does Prince find so much time to surf the web?

The loyalty to people like Brittney is what's pathetic.. A no talent never was who blows (not an intrument). How she gpt put ona pedestal I'll NEVER know.

BTW I just appreciate his talent my man. Let's see where Ms. Spears is in 20-25 years. Probably just gettin' out of rehab for the ??? time. Maybe she'll get her kids back by then.

And you other three idios find another chat room for your sorry personal crap. Please!!

36. i'd hardly say he is a hasbeen, his lp's are still selling, his tours sell out....ok he may not be as big as he was in the 'purple rain' era, but that was a one of a kind thing. he's about a million times more talented than that walking freak show michael jackson.

37. To the one person writing all these comments...Don't you think it's a little weird writing to yourself, and answering yourself?

38. Stealing music and ignoring copyrights has become so rampant that people feel entitled to do it, and become angry when an artist rightly trys to enforce the rules. Prince is right. And he is a genius, and is isn't a has-been - he is timeless. Yes, he's personally strange, but that doesn't make him wrong or untalented. You haters are ignorant - go away and go listen to your Justin TImberlake and leave the real artists to people with brains and taste enough to appreciate them.

40. I don't consider myself an idiot or moron for being a Prince fan, like some of you have
posted on here. But this man is one of the best guitar players around, and we still have many
that still are.Prince is far from being a has been.He was on stage at one of the recent
"Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" to honor the late, great George Harrison.Prince played guitar
with George's son and Tom Petty, and it was Prince who owned the stage that night!!
