I think I see "loser" encrpyted in your messages (or is that "nerd" tattoed on ur 4 head. Or maybe thatspurs is stuck up something U sit on. At least he's on TMZ for trying to protect his lfe's work, not for being a drugged out, drunken mother or a father who curses his children out on the phone. My point is for all the negatives about Prince (so he's arrogant, so is our President), at least he lives a clean drug & alcohol free life.

66. KC@1:28PM - I understand, but the problem is deciding where to draw the lines. The old way was that any song that went out anywhere in the public medium needed permission from the owner or artist, and incurred royalties toward them. THAT'S obviously down the tubes with the world wide web. Prince is taking a hardline now to try to influence decisions/laws being made currently regarding the treatment of content on the net to try to safegaurd his and other artist's intellectual property and financial compensation in the future. The Youtube thing didn't win him any friends, I'm sure, but I guess he feels his plan must be to adopt a zero tolerance policy from the start, with no exception, as it's nigh on impossible to deal with the thousands of internet copyright infringements on a case by case basis. Internet law is in the Wild West stage, and will be shaped and determined now for the future. I liked it too, when everything on the web belonged to everybody and anything went, but also see that this will not be how it stays for the long run. Even the wild west towns got a lawman eventually. I'm particularly empathetic of musicians, for the vast majority of us often barely eke out a living. Smaller artists stand to make no money in a free for all of their tunes. It's a catch 22 - no exposure, no money. Free exposure, no money. Prince has vision born of specialized knowledge gained through a long and successful career in this field, obviously knows his way around music finance, and is seeing the future coming and is smartly dealing with it. Those who criticize see only the tip of the music iceberg, whereas Prince sees the whole effing iceberg AND sees where it it heading.

You are absolutely correct. Moreover, Prince is not the first (nor will he be the last ) artist to have these sort of problems. I think that because of his notoriety and his being a little "different" (hopefully not because of his skin color) many of the people have made the comments they have made. One person was even ignorant to the point of saying he sued a baby.

If it was Bittney Spears or Madonna would some of these comments even be here?

68. I was advised that I should take my message to the masses. It is justmy advise as well as my opinion. I just hope that anyone will be just as respectful as I have tried to be. The truth will set you free, so her it is. The fact is that controversy and entertainment sonsumated their marrige long ago. There are countless time that Prince has done thing for simple Shock Value, this may be one of those times. This could be a simple maketing tool. The whole writters stirke could have something to do with it. I am a parent and completed half my associated degree in child devlopement. I know a tember tantrum when I see one.The best cure for such a childish action is to ignore it. If Prince wants to treat me or anyone like I am his child. I reserve the right to teat him like one of mine. I cure a fit my doning one thing. ignoring it.A baby doesn't like it , when a bottleis is taken from their mouth. I have a silution for PFU, and I hope they hear me. The first thing is go to those in the pictures and videos with Prince. If they allow it get their written concent. Those people have the right to say weither or not their vidoes pics can be posted.Then he doesn't have a leg to stand on. He can't say their images can or can't be used if concent is given.I will say itagain, a cure for a temper tantrum is ignoring it. He could think that is what his fans are doing, but who am I to speak for him. I will show him respect in saying he has every right to have a voice, and live the way he wants, to his feelings. When he has no care or respect for his fans or for anyone.He needs to really learn what love is. If you really love then you do not control, or bully.( He has done that in the past and is doing that now) and you value the thought and feelings of those you say you love.He said it himself, he is not dong that now. My dad has never been a real Prince fan , we have had countless arguements. about him over the years. I always spoke in his (Prince's) defence. My father has always stated the Prince was a hypocrite as well as arrogent, and a hunger for money.That Prince constantly controdicted himself. That was something that my dad has no agreement for. He thaned Prince for FINALLY proving him right. That was what my dad had bben trying to tell me for all these years. As much as Prince has spoke out for freedom and wquallity, then he does the opoisate.When I told my dad what the whole boycott was about. I told him about the dancing baby, and how he forces sites to take his videos off and his pictures. He supported my right to protest as well as the form in wich I or anyone choses to do so. That was what he, my uncle, grandfather, other family member fought for. We have just as much right to protect as much right as Prince has to make a complete Jackass out of himself.

I was reminded that I should go back and really listen to the Prince cds, I have.That Prince is full of himself as well as controdictions. That in his music and the actions he has taken , he does exactly what he speaks out against. That I was no better. That I was comromising my values by supporting Prince I was controdiction myself. If I hated being bossed around told how to raise my kids. Then why was I buying his cds. When he preached or parenting, and took away my choices as a parent. When he stood up against a parent's right to choose.Is exactly what he did when he had his lawyers take off that mother's youtube video. That he asked me to bring my kids to hius shows, then takes away my daughter's right to se in on the Muphet show.That is something she has seen enjoyed. That he say you can't post a video of YOUR child dancing to My music. Wel, he did not legally adopt my kids. He did not carry MY kids in HIS body,go through the hours of labor to bring them into this world, nor did he donate the sperm. The music may be his, but MY money paid to the cd MY kids dance to.

I am going to show him how to act like an adult, admitt I was wrong in several aspects. I was not looking at the bigger picture. and I lost sight ( what little I have) of things. When he forced sites of take off videos I was angery and still am. I thought well, it is after his music and he has that right. But what about the people that are photographrd with him perform with him. They contributed to his music what about their rights,. They still made a cntrobution, those both on and off his payroll.When he performs with those he says influenced him and join him on the stage, and those he consitters his equal. Is he really respecting them, by taking away their choice. If they are in agreement with him in removing videos pictures that is a different matter. The only thing I see him doing is hiding behind a bunch of suites. He needs to stand up and be a the grown mature man he says he is. Then take resonsibillity for your actions. I mean stop paying others to speak for you. Then come here and explain to my child why she can't see him in the Muphet Show. When you did not respect those that did it along side you.Then don't talk to my kids about respect when you show none. Then don't speak on morals and values, self expression. When you do esactly the opoisate of what you say.If you want to show kids the value of hard work, show where and how far you have come.He is both denying and in denile.

When are the suites for EVERY site that shows his picture. I want to know where the justice is in that.

The man speaks against having an adiction and worship. He worships himself and has and adiction of his own. The only difference is his adiction is being bragged on. Then why would he want any woman say with pride in her voice that he is great in bed. He has adictions for praise, money, attention having his ego stroked. pride in his own arrogence. The man has a head as big as a balloon so he can touch the clouds. If he wants to act like a parent then do the same. The Goldn Rule applies. I would quote is but he uses it in a song. Then be just as good a parent and show love by disopline. The good parnt would show a thing called tough love, it is still unconditianal, but love none the less. My kids "Are We Thhere Yet", "Happy Feet", "Batman" DVDS are safe. I will not throw away The "Rave", " Grafitti Bridge" DVDs that my daughter enjoys.I do not have the right to tell her something is ok one minute, then say it is not the next. She is only seven and can't understand it all just yet. I will repeat my father's words, if when she is older stil like his musuc. I do reserve the right to change my mind later. If he gets his act togather, and stop acting like a bully or my father. I will buy nothing else that I know contains his music for them though. Then post vidoes of your own kids dancing to his music you already own. There are only so many lawyers he can pay, suits he can file. Then stay home and don't go to his shows. The celeb buddies, let them cop up the funds for him .They matter we do not.he has shown that. They will get sick of it at some point and kick him to the curb with the lepord guitar he loves so much. Well ,at lest he is human after all and loves something. When thy get smart and realize they have no rights either. I hear no celebs having any public thoughts on the matter. The empy house will teach him.that actions speak louder better than words. He should have some scence knocked into him, hit him where is really hurts.

We are the ones that pay his bills. We bought his cars, houses cloths. the lavish parties he throws.We pay for the lawyers he is using, his divorces.We pay for the cable televioion that show his apperences, videos, interviews Then show him the same lack of caring he has shown. If he ignores his fans, ignore him if he walk in the room. The photogs will loose interest at some point. He wants his privicy so bad , give it to him in spades.It seems that as much as he hates dramma, he is sure benafitting from it.Then show the same lack of interest in his message as he does yours. He will want the attention back at some point . If he does not care what we say,about our feelings , input show the same so called love. It will be sad that those that perform on his payroll won't get their money. The causes he supports will not benifit. Then just go directly to the cause, don't let it be through him.We pay for the internet his site is on, the sites he cencers.Then we must excerise the same respect cantrol.The buck has to end at some point. We are basically pay repeatedly paying for the same thing over and over..

I give my kids a taste of their on medicine when they do wrong. I teach them to walk in the shoes of others. Then take off his heels and put him in yours. If he does not care what we say, theen use his own words against him. I wonder if his own words apply, probally not. The no other musician celeberity or other can play your music wither you say it is o.k or not. The Twinz must take thier pics with you off their myspace page also.Then no band members cureunt of former can post pics with you on their pages, nor can any of your celeberity friends shows videos with you.Then you Prince are no long to perform music unless it is yours, and you have to play it all by yourself.You cannot allow anyone else in a videos with you. Then you file suites on all site, news papers articals, that show your picture. As long as we are at it Prince, you we will say what kind of songs you can write. We will not allow you to controdict yourself any longer, or be a hypoctie. Then in the future you are contratitian ablogation to back up what comes out of your mouth. We want all of this is YOUR WRITTINg.Thee will be only one picture of you allowed ever. If you cn still do the splits at your age. Then stick your own foot in your mouth while you are down there. I have never benn to any of his shows, or met him for that matter. If I did and he wanted to take a picture with him or my kids. In order to clean up his retarnish emage. 71. to Purple Reign - I think so, but if it were Spears it would number in the thousands, with most about as empty intellectually as 8:51PM Pamela here, who thinks name calling is credible debate, lol. I think Madonna would take heat, as Metallica did, but mostly because with most commenters you can read between the lines and realize that most don't empathize because they think these big and famous artists already have so much money (compared to them) and are just being greedy; but 'they already have enough!' is just not a proper argument for denying current and future compensation for an artist's past and present work. These copyright reimbursements affect smaller artists too; some that had a couple or more hits in the 60's or 70's or 80's, and rely on royalties to help survive/retire on, and then suddenly a retro fan doesn't have to buy their stuff because they got it free somewhere. Reminds me of some of the old really big name hero major hockey players who used to be paid squat and are barely squeaking by in their old age. Yesterday's money doesn't come close to covering today's cost of living, and artists today are also concerned with tomorrow.

73. Listen, Prince is a business man. If David Bowie or Springsteen were fighting to have their images controlled, no one would say one word against them. However, because Prince decides that he wants to control his images on the internet, everyone has to try to "hate" on him. This is getting so tired.
