Paparazzo Seriously Injured in Spears Madness

UPDATE: Miraculously, the victim was released from the hospital last night with only a tire mark on his arm. Not a single broken bone, and no internal injuries. Lucky guy!

TMZ has confirmed a paparazzo on a motorcycle has been injured while chasing Britney Spears.

The accident, first reported by That Other Blog, happened around 5:00 PM tonight, roughly a mile from the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel. Several cars were in line chasing the pop princess when one hit another photog on a motorcycle, throwing the rider off the bike and onto the road. We're told the rider was seriously injured and transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His current condition is unknown.

UPDATE: We're told that the injured person is what is known as a "spotter," and does not actually carry a camera. He will follow the star and tip off other photographers to her whereabouts. We hear he's fairly new to the Britney beat, only appearing on the scene in the past several days.

2. Well well well. I knew this was going to happen. I just thought it would be BRITNEY who was going to be the one hurt. The Papz are out of control and everyone was just turning thier heads, including the COURTS.
I suppose people will BLAME bRITNEY. BUT THIS IS NOT HER FAULT

7. We have just learned that the person that was ran over is actually not an actual paparazzo but instead someone who takes part in chases in order to “tip off” agencies about the whereabouts of celebrities. He is therefore a “tipster”. He does not work for any agency.

We were just informed the paparazzo is alive, but in critical condition at Cedars-Sinai. He suffered broken legs, broken arms and a broken back.
An X17 paparazzi has just ran over another paparazzi on a motorcycle while chasing Britney Spears who had just come out of The Four Seasons Hotel. Our source tells us that this ocurred as the caravan of chasers were making a right turn on Santa Monica Blvd. and Rexford Dr. in Beverly Hills. The paparazzi was hit by a silver range rover and was literally smashed under its wheels. From what we hear, the body went into seizure and then it just stopped moving. It doesn’t look like he made it, according to our source.

This stuff is getting out of hand, next time it might be Britney that gets hurt.

15. Though I really hope the guy makes it out ok, and that he will have a healthy long life after this situation... I am really glad that it was one of the Paps and Not Britney or an innocent bystander.

Enough is Enough. This chasing of celebrities for pictures is completely nuts!!!!!
Take the damb stalkers off the road. They are incapable of making safe and sane decisions and are probably to blame for many of the so called incidents that celebrities get into.
