Donda West -- Big Trouble on the Table?

Sources tell TMZ Donda West's operation lasted eight hours -- twice as long as it should have. We're told Dr. Jan Adams began the operation Friday morning and finished Friday evening. He then sent Ms. West home, rather than to a recovery center, which we're told, would have been appropriate.

Several doctors at Centinela Hospital where West was taken, tell TMZ they believe the excessive amount of time it took to perform the procedure strongly suggests either something went wrong during the operation or the doctor was just too inexperienced.

We're told she was dead the next evening at her home before paramedics arrived.

What's more, Dr. Adams is not Board Certified with the American Board of Plastic Surgery.

17. It is a very sad story, but I wonder why she chose someone to cut on her body who was not top-notch? I know she could afford it, and she was not stupid, if she worked for a time in college level academics. Never go the cheap when it's your one and only life.

20. um, I hope kanye didn't pick him just he is young and black? what if there was older experienced, or white and asian doctors that would'nt have messed up? I know this sounds dumb but could b true.

21. My friend is board certified with three different medical boards, including the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and he once told me that this guy wasn't certified. He also said that this guy is fairly new and inexperienced, and a lot of plastic surgeons aren't even certified at all because all you need is a medical degree. It's really sad that this happened to her, and it just shows that you really need to do your research before letting someone perform surgery on you.

24. I dont know where T.M.Z is getting its medical info, but that amount of time doesnt mean anything went wrong. I had a breast reduction surgery and it took 6 hours, and nothing went wrong. I also stayed overnite at a hospital, but then again my guy was board certified. To say this woman should have been sent home, and not stayed overnight is ludacrous. If she would of had just a tummy-tuck maybe okay, but having two surgeries like that no-way!!

I seriously doubt it'll haunt him at all ,people like him have no moral compass .The fact that he is not a board certified plastic surgeon ,but performing plastic surgery is kinda the clincher here .He obviousley just cares about the $$$$ ,not the patient .
And if he's not board certified ...he's far from innocent here .

28. I think this is very sad, just because she was having surgery doesn't mean she deserved to die.
My thoughts are with Kanye and his family at this time.
