A tox screen is not ordered ESPECIALLY on a newborn...unless there is specific reason or concern that the mother is using illegal drugs. Maybe at the free clinic it is "protocol". Whoever told you that they do this "now'a'days" was lying to you. Probably to convince you to consent to the tox screen.

274. It probably would show up in a drug tests. Go to Wikipedia and look it up. Athletes were caught using it as a "doping" agent. So why would it not show up?

277. When you go for a drug test (and yes, I have gone for an employment drug test), you have to list ALL medications you are currently taking. That way, if you are taking a medication that could show as a positive on the test, you are covered. Also - they usually do a split test, i.e., they split the urine and put it in 2 vials and test both of them. These drug testing companies know what they are doing and are very used to dealing with people who try to lie their way out of their positive results.

They need to take some of her hair and test it.

280. I'm a drugs worker and Britiney is talking comlpete rubbish, the said inhaler would not cause a false drugs test. A false drugs test is due to taking drugs, nothing else!!!

It depends id ther is being urine tested or blood tested or just the routine mouth swip. Even so, having been a drugs worker for over 10 years lets face it Britney is out of control and an addict. Until she see's this for her self she can tell as many tales as she like to try and get out of court trouble.

281. Before jumping to conclusions about her using drugs you should check your facts. There are numerous over the counter drugs that can cause false positive drug results. A poppy seed muffin can show positive for opiates. Ibuprofen can show positive for THC. Allergy and cold medications can show positive for amphetamines. It is unfair to judge Britney (although she seems to be of less than average intelligence) before all the facts are out.
