Dr. Jan Adams operates out of the Brentwood Surgery Center -- which sits above a Kinko's and Quiznos in Brentwood, Calif.
BSC would not confirm that Donda West had her surgery there, however, TMZ spoke with an employee who told us that Dr. Adams was not in today (surprise) and she didn't know when he'd be back. Wait -- there's something wrong with the neon sign!
Dr. Jan Adams told TMZ Monday night he had done nothing wrong and that Kanye West's mother likely succumbed to a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or from massive vomiting after returning home from surgery.
76. Someone told me any doctor almost anywhere can hang a plastic surgeon sign out. Those who specialized in plastic surgery and spent years studying and practicing reconstructive surgery become board certified and are against just any one jumping into their profession, but it's where the big money is. I don't know if this is 100 percent true, but my mom's favorite gen practice doctor became a plastic surgeon, packed up the family and moved to Beverly :)
78. Where's Britney; Reliable sources have reveled Brit will not face the Commish for running the light. in other news..... Effective immediately All pap smears will have to be licensed to consume oxygen in California There may be as many as 35 licenses eschewed.
79. ...#76...I hope Oprah does something to EDUCATE the public to only seek Board Certified Plastic Surgeons....sounds like in Calif , if a MD who can throw a stitch in ur childs finger , can also have u under the knife for 8 hrs if they choose in their practice...btw..I admire ALL doctors!!!!!!!!!....I would want a specialist who has had extensive training and experience and a passion for his/her work....not looking for that almighty fricken $$$$$$$$$ and lord knows whatever happened to this poor soul, her chosen Doctor needed $$$$$$$ for all those lawsuits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...INSTEAD of looking out for her best interests and refusing her until she dealt with the internist.....just speculation...
80. oh dear # 78 at 58 SHE should have known better why oh why does everyone always want to feel sorry for the "Victim" this was her choice did you know when you go into any surgical procedure they make you signs forms and waivers indicating that anything could go wrong up to and INCLUDING death its not hateful what I say its the simple truth. What do you want from me to say that I feel sorry for the dead woman because she needed a tummy tuck come on who really "NEEDS" a tummy tuck there are 1,000's of people out there dying because they have failing hearts and lungs and livers and cancer and aids and actual medical conditions that they cannot afford to pay for themselves and all these rich uppity people feel they NEED a tummy tuck or a nose job or a breast inhancement to make their lives better what about the poor people of the world that need surgery to save their lives?? why dont these rich people donate money to thoose people who are actually in need of these surgeries not for COSMETIC purposes but for the need to live??? Vanity or death which would you prefer???
81. I saw Dr. Adams in LA two years ago. He was removing moles on my back and it looks like he butchered it. I really thought he was pretty bad and wasn't surprised that he was no longer affiliated with my dermatolgist when I went back. He also made totally inappropriate comments like "when I am through, you'll have no scars and can wear a strapless dress to our wedding!"
82. vanity or death??? what a stupid question... we all can be vain to a degree but we also want to trust our medical "professionals" to a degree.
I also agree she should have done more research on this doctor - but I hold the doctor to the higher standard to opt out of surgery because of potential complication!

83. Dr. West was a GROWN woman, I doubt it seriously that she discussed in details with her son about anything other than she going to have these procedures done. or the cost. She wasn't poor. Second thing is thats HOLLYWOOD Brentwood..There are zillions of Private Clinics..Celebrities want everything hush hush. As for the Dr. I'll wait for Proof. I have found out that TMZ,Perezhilton are not the most reliable source for any STORY..

84. .Candy...I don't know if u were referring to my blog or not..but...I'm 100% agains ELECTIVE plastic surgery, and I only feel sorry for the pain this woman must have felt once everything wore off. I could go into grt medical jargon now but i won't. I am Canadian and we do have a grt medical system and I sympathize for all the uninured Americans who don't have access to treat their chronic diseases , all that u mentioned. However, the laws seem to protect the Docors and not the public in California when it comes to Elective surgerys and that is truly bothersome.....she clearly shouldn't have been accepted as a patient ANYWHERE..and yes, it was her choice not to follow earlier advice...
85. (in addition during medical school and residency there are a series of three exams that must be passed in order to be able to be licensed).

86. and what medical profession are you in? I work with Doctors all day long and trust me most of them have to be corrected on how to write presscriptions so imagine what it is like in an actual surgury if they dont have someone there to check up on the work they have done. I have absolutly no faith in most doctors because they are only HUMAN they paid a lot of money to go through a lot of schooling to pass a "TEST" in the end and be certified by others that judge them to see if they pass their standards for having memorized a bunch of stuff they were taught I will only go to a docotor if it is something that I myself cannot fix and I will make sure they do not have bad records and I will question them on any advice they give me or any procedure they want to perform and I will get second opinions and I will do my research so to call me hateful because I dont agree with you is idiotic because I have not said one hateful thing TRUTH IS ALL I SPEAK
90. Candy - I hear you, but still, I think Dr.'s should be held in higher standards to do what most people consider "simple procedures" on a woman 58 years old! He was looking for $$ to pay off his existing law suits. Again, Ms. West should have done more research on her surgeon.
And I didn't mean to call you hateful. sorry.
