Patient to Dr. Adams -- You Ruined My Life

In a lawsuit filed less than two weeks ago, another woman claims she's the victim of medical malpractice at the hands of Dr. Jan Adams.

In a lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court on October 31, 2007, Rhonda McClain claims Dr. Adams and Euclid Outpatient Surgery Center were responsible for "mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering."

TMZ spoke with McClain about the surgery, conducted on March 10, 2007. She told us she's now left with one implant and claims she nearly bled to death. She also says Dr. Adams has ruined her life.

46. Do YOU know whether YOUR doctor has ever been sued for malpractice? You'd be surprised. Most doctors have been sued at least ONCE!

this is the California website to check all physicians in the state...everyone should check their docs online before committing to surgery. Every state has a website like this. Consumers need to take some responsibilty for their health care and this is a simple easy check. Of course, even good docs make mistakes but we should ask some questions..they aren't gods.

51. This is just awful that this doctor is being condemned without the true facts being revealed. The autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow and the results will take some time. According to what I have read he has two other lawsuits which is not unusual for a doctor. The majority of the doctors out here have a lawsuit pending(i,e, your doctor too!!!). Has anyone ever checked their doctor out? I doubt it. His insurance paid $250,000 on one claim and $217,000 on another claim. Not alot. There are risk with every procedure especially when you have anesthesia involved. The other doctor that she supposedly saw first told her to clear up a pre-existing health problem. Did she tell tDr. Adams about that health problem? or the other doctor? We have to wonder and wait for the results . I think it is disengenious for people to label him a quack and ruin his career because of this and then to bring in his DUIs is just ruthless. Doctors get sued all the time for everything and alot of them are dismissed because there is no wrongdoing. So before you all go off half cocked, go check your doctor through your states Office of Medical Professionals and I am sure most of you will be shocked to see that a lot of doctors out here have been sued and paid and others have won. Also please remember with plastic surgery, folks want a miracle and most times that cannot happen!! They are unrealistic in their expectations.
I hope that Kanye has lots of support through this time.

54. 1st of all wicked, learn to retain what you read! The Quack doctor has alrady lost at least 2 malpratice suits! A life was lost, a mother, a sister, a daughter a friend. How about a bit-o RESPECT. Or how about I pay for your fat ass to go get the same procedures that Mama West got by the Quack, and lets see if you feel the same and if your feeling are the same.

60. The question is: Why was he still able to practice? Im shocked (not sure why) that these allegations are just now coming to light. Had they been earlier, I doubt he would still have his license. Its a shame. My heart goes out to Kanye and his family.
