Brit Lawyer Hauled to Court for Red Light Run

Lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline will be heading back to court -- again -- on Friday, for an emergency session about Brit's bolting through a red light at a busy intersection.

People reports that the Friday hearing was requested by K-Fed lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, who contacted TMZ about subpoenaing our story, with video showing Brit blowing through the intersection at Mulholland Drive and Coldwater Canyon. Sorrell Trope, one of Brit's attorneys, explains that she was "distracted" and that "this was not blatant irresponsible driving on her part."

Yesterday, TMZ reported that Britney plans to explain that her flunked drug test was caused by her asthma inhaler.

63. I just got home from court. An uninsured motorist ran a red light and totaled my car costing me thousands of dollars. And the judge gave ME a hard time. I feel sorry for Britney Spears and I'm sayin it, she's young and white and she's gonna get it! All the other people in court today got a mild mannered mellow judge except me when I got up there I got yelled at and yelled at and picked on and it wasn't my fault. It's just because I'm young and cute! Britney's in for it!

64. I love how Slut-ney's spin doctors & enablers lie like MO-FO's to protect her stupidity. First, her blowing through a red light is "she was distracted". Then, her flunked drug test they try to blame on one of her medications; since that didn't work, they're trying to blame it on an asthma inhaler.

First thing, so what if she was "distracted"? Driving & have a license is a privilege, not a right. If Slut-ney can't get a license, then can follow court orders, then can't drive a car without breaking the law, then she shouldn't be driving, as she's a danger to everyone on the road. And, as for her "distraction", the little bitch creates it herself. It's a fact that she calls the paps to let them know her schedule, so as to create a "buzz" around herself. If, by doing that, she is "distracted" by the photogs she purposely caused to be there, then she should not be driving. Period.

Also, regarding her story today about why she flunked her drug test, it's not going to fly. First, her enablers (oops, I mean her peeps) claimed she passed the drug test, turns out they were lying. Next, they tried to blame it on a drug for narcolepsy, but TMZ showed that she'd been taking it for sometime, and it had never caused problems before. So, today's lies from them are that she has an "asthma inhaler" and this is what caused her drug test failure. My question to these boneheads is "WHAT THE HELL IS SHE DOING WITH AN ASTHMA INHALER? IF SHE HAS ASTHMA, WHY THE HELL IS SHE SMOKING 30 CIGS A DAY?" Unfortunately for these liars, their lies aren't going to fly because the drug in an inhaler, epinephrine, does NOT cause drug test failures. These morons should read about these things before they promote obvious lies.

Slut-ney is a DUMBASS; her enablers are even worse. I say take away her license (she drives without it anyway), take away her kids, and let her circle the bowl quickly. The sooner Slut-ney crashes & burns, the better off it will be for everyone.

I'd just like to make 1 point ,I live in california and it is illegal to text while driving !!!Well 1 more point ,you must use a hands-free device (earpiece)to talk on your phone while driving -since she ignored both laws I'm sure her lawyer will argue that she cant be expected to keep track of driving laws bein's as she's a pop tart !!!
Interesting to find out what the spin and outcome of her actions will be ...*sighs** ,ahhhh ...whatever ...

68. Does anyone know for a fact that she was yakking on the cell phone? It must be awesome having access to her cell phone records and be able to state this. Who knows what she was doing with the cell....it didn't look as though she was talking and with the monitor in the car with her, I don't think the Monitor would let Brit talk on the phone. Awww, what's the use anyway....the video is cut and who knows what really happened. It would be interesting to hear from the car who flashed their lights to let her go ahead and turn...sure would like to know what their take was on the whole mess.......

What really bothers me is that she kept driving around in a car with a bashed in front fender and a light out. That is illegal (the light out) in itself.

And why, oh why does she do that when she has enough money to get the daggon car fixed? Looks oakie to me. Just reeks of no class.

Also, from what I've heard it is illegal to use a hand held cell phone in California. Well, there are plenty of pictures of her on her cell phone while driving.

I really can't wait to read the parenting coach/monitor's take on the situation. That will tell us the truth.

As I've always said, Britney needs to get a restraining order against the papparazzi, if she doesn't want them hanging all over her car. It would be so simple to do. This will never happen though because she loves the attention. She craves the attention!

In my opinion, if I were Britney and didn't want the attention, all she had to do was sit in that intersection and call the police/911. They could have come and handled the situation and could have seen what a nusiance the paps were. She will never do that. Never.

Can't wait to read what the monitor has to say about everything that she has seen in the last few weeks.
