"Grey's" Ellen Pompeo -- Secretly Married!
Paging Dr. McLiar! TMZ caught up with Ellen Pompeo in NYC and asked her about her "upcoming" wedding to fiance Chris Ivery, to which she replied, "Soon!" How about "last Friday?!"
TMZ has learned that Ellen and Chris secretly tied the knot last Friday in a ceremonial office at New York City Hall, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg served as a witness. Talk about VIP!
The Mayor's rep said Bloomberg and Deputy Mayor Patti Harris were the two witnesses, and an official from the city clerk's office performed the ceremony.
Miley Cyrus: Actress, Pop Star, Defendant
OMG! Hanna Montana is being sued by a fan! The charge facing tween star Miley Cyrus? Failure to make tickets available to upcoming concerts. Oh, what-ever!
Kerry Inman of Pennsville, New Jersey says she paid $29.95 to Cyrus' official website, MileyWorld.com, which promised to make seats available to members before they went on sale to the general public.
The $5 million class action lawsuit filed in Tennessee alleges that Interactive Media Marketing and Smiley Miley, Inc. were "unfair and deceptive" and "created a false impression that tickets would be available."Clearly, there'll be no backstage passes for her!
UPDATE: Miley's rep issued the following statement to TMZ: "Among the many benefits of membership, Mileyworld members had an opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets to the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds concert tour and more than 70,000 Mileyworld members obtained concert tickets as a result of their membership in Mileyworld. The Mileyworld website expressly states that Mileyworld does not guarantee every member a concert ticket. Mileyworld members had far greater access to concert tickets than the general public and other fan clubs and the claim that the vast majority of Mileyworld members were unable to obtain concert tickets is simply false. Mileyworld will vigorously defend itself from the frivolous claims in the lawsuit."
WWE Takes CNN to the Mat
It's a case of "he said -- but you didn't get to hear it."Quizzed by CNN about whether he has ever used steroids, pro wrestler John Cena quickly responded, "Absolutely not!" -- then offered nearly three minutes of follow up. But when CNN made its edit to their special, "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling," Cena's response was replaced with: "People conceive things because performance enhancing drugs have got the spotlight. It's a hot thing to talk about. I can't tell you that I haven't, but you'll never be able to prove that I have."
Needless to say, the folks at World Wrestling Entertainment are pissed! They've posted the original, unedited video on their official website, along with the following response: "In a country in which the news media is highly suspect, and the quality of unbiased reporting has been thrown into the trash can, CNN has stooped to new depths. Notwithstanding the fairness, or lack therein, of CNN's recent piece entitled "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling," perhaps the best example of how CNN misrepresents and unfairly presents their biased, if not illegal, point of view is the comparison of WWE's unedited video above to CNN's edited version. CNN's depiction of John Cena as it relates to steroids is not only professionally and morally wrong, but damaging to his character." Now 'dems fightin' words!
UPDATE: A rep for CNN has issued the following statement: "CNN has reviewed the footage of Mr. Cena and additional video from that interview has been added to the program which aired in replays of the program on Sunday."

Paris Devours the Pole
So much for keeping things low-profile: TMZ caught Paris Hilton last night, working the stripper pole at Marquee, and working it -- and working it some more. If that's not preparation for a charity mission to Rwanda, we just don't know what is!The heiress "sang" along to "Stars Are Blind," writhing like a pro at the XXX Party, throwing in a little Rod Stewart for good measure. After all that, she still managed to head to Bungalow 8, and then on to a friend's pad, before finally arriving back to her hotel at nearly 7:00 AM.
Remember what Paris told Larry King about partying? "It's not going to be the mainstay of my life," she said. Only in New York, apparently, only in New York.
