47. this is stupid. the Dr. is obiviously not all there anyhow since he came out himself and bragged about how he knew nothing. but how the hell did it slip the medical board? how in the hell was he able to loop hole that.

48. I agree with the 1st poster, Oprah is slipping. First the book club, then her school and now having a doctor on her show and no background check. It is hard to believe that all 3 of the stations did not find out what kind of person this man is and at the very least his stops for intoxication. But Oprah...that is surprising..wonder what excuse she is going to give on her show for this oversight?

50. Riiiight. Oprah is such a racist and only concerned about people of color. I guess that's why she just had the whitest family in the world on her show...the freakin' Osmonds. And don't even get me started on Celine Dion's appearance on the show.
The doctor in question is a fraud and a loser, but each of us is responsible for our own research before we let a doctor cut us open, especially for cosmetic surgery that is completely optional and not medically necessary. It sucks that Kanye's mom died, but she had been warned by a reputable surgeon that the procedure could kill her.
Blaming televison producers and Oprah makes for good gossip but means nothing at the end of the day.

51. What I find amazing about all this backlash is that no one really knows why she died. They are automatically blaming a doctor and they don't even really know the full story. My mom has had many surgeries because of her cancer and there were an amazing amount of complications. She had infections, blood clots, pneumonia ...the list was endless. It may not be his fault at all, but because of the need to make money they need a scape goat. By the way surgeons are always being sued ...good or not. I'm not trying to say he's a reputable doctor. I'm trying to say that sometimes it's no one's fault when someone dies.

52. It would be very difficult for this doctor to be on all those shows without the aid of a good publicist. The producer of the shows should have done their homework but instead they relied on the word of the doctor's publicist. All he had to bring was charisma, charm and a smile. It is much easier to show that on TV than credentials, professional (and personal) integrity and trustworthiness. Remember where this incident happened folks...in the land of smoke and mirrors. So don't be seduced by TV's cult of personalities. This warning also applies to some of the doctors on "Dr. 90210". They're not board-certified either.

55. Actually most of you are not retards tonight. I am "in the business" and could see through Oprah a couple of years ago. All I remember is when she went to work on a white woman guest who was thin and beautiful, her racist attitude that the white viewing audience did not like.

But I knew for years she is a closet Lesbo. Once I ran into Stedman in a West Hollywood boutique. ('gay part of L.A.).She and Gail..get it? They found out they could not fool all of the people all of the time.Result Oprah's weight ascending.

Also the big todo about the school in South Africa. Why didn't she finance inner city schools in the United States? Does she know her idol, Nelson Mandella is a criminal? No, Oprah is an actress and reads scripts. No brains. She is so disconnected from reality if she thinks those girls in South Africa are interested in getting an education. That is the like George Bush and how he thought he could democratize the Middle East.

Oprah knows she is finished and is stuffing her frustrations with food and she will end up like her friend, gay Luther Vandross. It's hell living with secrets and if you continue to hide, you continue to eat ....yourself to death. I will give her five years before she drops dead. She has abused her body and now her mind,so badly, she is unable to distinguish truth from reality. Now she is being publicized for being a racist by having the doctor on her show.

Just so eager to promote a black person despite their lack education and character. Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh!
