Here is a list of TV shows that might appeal to you: Bill Cosby Show, Martin, My Wife and Kids, Cory in the House, In Living Colour, Living Single, Judge Mathis, Judge Joe Brown, Fresh Prince of Bel Aire, Sister Sister, Bernie Mac, Oprah......... Just to name a few.

Stop playing the victim! There are tons of things to watch on EVERY channel that would "appeal" to you. And why not try watching a show that features a white person... you might enjoy it! I am white and enjoy ALL of the shows listed above - and it has NOTHING to do with the color of anyone's skin.

52. Tmz after she made the comment about Black History month, Adrianne on her blog site wrote a piece, explaining how she made a mistake and how she didn't realize that Black History month is Indeed Important.
Unlike all of you , she at least had the BALLS to admit when she is wrong...TMZ should research before they run at the mouth about someone. This site has turn into the least reliable source for the TRUTH.!!!! .......It's a GOSSIP SITE. NOTHING ELSE..!!!

53. College Grad and CC, you both just wasted your time typing the truth...cause some of these folks don't want to hear the truth...everything and every station would be WFO (White Folks Only) if they had their way.

A white guy asked me a few years ago why did they have to have a Miss Black America when we have Miss America...cause DUH...a few years ago you didn't see more than 1 black woman competing for the title...we REALLY do have a countless number of beautiful black women...regardless of what you heard.

Oh thats right those shows do exist on UPN the other Token Black Channel that we have. Thank you for correcting me on that as far as that goes their good but their a bit watered down to the point that they don't deal with real problems african americans face or go through. Those scripts are written by Anglo saxon writers to Catch the Anglo saxon Attention. Yes we have Black Doctors, Lawyers, and Family Men. The issue that they deal with on those shows are candy coated lollipops and gums drops. Where's the real issues like how they have to deal with racism everyday or issues showing the stuggle they had to go through to get their position as a Doctor & Lawyer. Bet showcases real and honest daily problems that we may deal with UPN and a bit of THE CW shows, have a Black Cast living out daily Caucasion Issues maybe once in awhile toch base on what's really going on in the African american Community.

So NO i'm not a victim never said I was. I was laying down the general facts on why BET exist and started in the first place. It started because like College Grad said when no one wanted to air or faces we had to resort to starting our own PLAIN & SIMPLE. Once it's an Empire people want to twist their face up and complain. First of all most of the shows you named on that list don't even come on t.v. anymore and haven't in years. Secondly, what do you think we're watching, almost every show on t.v. "features a white person" so we obviously are watching those shows too. If every show on t.v. had an all black cast with one or two white people on it, how many white people do you think would be complaining and trying to create their own network? True there are some primarily black casted shows as you named, but clearly they are few and far between. And Ugly Betty is the first show I’ve ever seen that has a significant number of Mexican cast members that aren't playing maid and day laborers. Just flip through your channels now and look at your favorite shows on NBC, ABC, and FOX and tell me how many black faces you can count in these shows. Nobodies playing the victim just pointing out the facts, it’s not as if it’s hard to do a little research on this.
