Slash Says He Was Burned on Real Estate Deal

Saul Hudson -- or as he's better known, "Slash" of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver -- and his wife have filed suit over a house they say they were duped into buying.

TMZ obtained the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, against real estate agent Gregory Holcomb and Sotheby's International Realty, in which the Hudsons claim they "thought they had found their dream house," but say it turned out to be a nightmare.

The suit says, among other things, they were told the house was on a private, gated street. The house, they allege, turned out to be on a public street with very little parking. They also say it was much smaller than the 7800 sq. ft. in the listing, and there were issues with the home's title.

Because they say Holcomb and Sotheby's withheld this information from them, the Hudsons have suffered "grief, shame, humiliation, embarrassment, anger, worry, disappointment, nervousness, stomach disorders, backaches, loss of appetite and inability to concentrate on work." They are suing for an amount in excess of $1 million.

This sounds like the typical worker's comp claim. I can see where a guy who calls himself "Slash" would feel shame and humiliation, but the rest is hogwash.

24. wow....why so many bitter and angry people ! It's impossible to buy a house and not notice where it lies on the street unless you just basically have " your people" do everything for you. Might be a good time for some personal responsibilty here.

25. You people are so pathetic. Half of you can't even write a legitimate sentence. That's not including all the typical errors in spelling and word usage. I'm not talking about a typo either. Everybody makes mistakes. I find that a lot of you just make up a whole bunch of stuff in your little bird brains and spit it out like you have some incredible insight into the situation from your little trailer on recycle row or wherever else you and nightly twelve pack call home. Litigation is the way of the world, especially in Hollywood. Just because you've never had the gumption to hire a lawyer when get royally screwed over, doesn't make you a man. Man up? Please. Hiring a lawyer to stand up for yourself is a lot closer to manning up than being a human doormat will ever be. Also, Sotheby's has a great reputation in the luxury real estate market. To think that one has to independently verify the veracity of their listings doesn't say much for the current market or the company. I certainly wouldn't blame anybody for buying a house from them having seen only pictures before this story came to light. Maybe now that somebody has come forward, people will realize they can't be trusted. Too bad for them, but Slash is not to blame. He is a rich celebrity, Sotheby's is supposed to cater to a like clientel, not rip them off.

28. As a real estate broker-our imformation is deed reliable but not gauranteed-the multi-listing sheets plainly state that-we gather our information from the country tax office, sellers input and visual inspection, etc.

the title issues would be a claim from the title/escrow company that insured it-agents jobs are not to insure title.

thats just a few of the issues is see so far....

inspect, inspect and review-was he not smart enough to have an attorney review all the paper work before he signed?
