Slash Says He Was Burned on Real Estate Deal

Saul Hudson -- or as he's better known, "Slash" of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver -- and his wife have filed suit over a house they say they were duped into buying.

TMZ obtained the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, against real estate agent Gregory Holcomb and Sotheby's International Realty, in which the Hudsons claim they "thought they had found their dream house," but say it turned out to be a nightmare.

The suit says, among other things, they were told the house was on a private, gated street. The house, they allege, turned out to be on a public street with very little parking. They also say it was much smaller than the 7800 sq. ft. in the listing, and there were issues with the home's title.

Because they say Holcomb and Sotheby's withheld this information from them, the Hudsons have suffered "grief, shame, humiliation, embarrassment, anger, worry, disappointment, nervousness, stomach disorders, backaches, loss of appetite and inability to concentrate on work." They are suing for an amount in excess of $1 million.

47. You gotta be kidding. He and his wife bought this place and now they are crying. GIVE ME A BREAK! Don't they know they were to see the place first before they bought it. There are people who work there butt's off and will never make the kind of money he has. At least he can cry all the way to the bank. Working class people like us will never be able to cry all the way to the bank. There are people who have to live in shelters and worry about paying there next rent or morgage payment and not to mention a high cost of food these days.. Tell him to cry somewhere else. I am tired of heariing about celebrity's on the dumb ass things they do.

48. He should have at least had someone (like a manager) look at it if they couldn't for some reason. Obviously the agen is going to be little biased to get the sale through, but the buyer should know what they're buying.

50. good lord people, some of you sure are bitter...or something. first of all, he's a legend. i think that after all these years of proving that he deserves some respect. why all the insults? he is way more talented than trainwreck brit and more than half of hip hop artists out there. and that's the freaking truth, no matter how you look at it. furthermore, yes, maybe he could have researched the situation better but now that the damage was done he has a right to hire an attorney. and also, who cares if he smokes, really. WHO CARES. he's a man, he's allowed to smoke if he wants. it's his life, not yours. i am always amused by those people who act all indignant when they see smokers like myself; do you truly believe that an insult or disapproving glare would make people quit? not likely. and don't even give me that 'second hand smoke' crap- you're not exposed to it anymore because we're not allowed to smoke anywhere inside. unless its a bar or club and then its YOUR choice to be there. bashing someone for smoking has gotten very old; it doesn't make you cool. move on to other things ktx

52. Biker 1957 - Aha! Someone actually still speaks English around here! I couldn't agree with you more. The ridiculous charges of deception, which could have been unraveled had either of the two 'injured' parties had bothered to check the actual property. For an individual to take on a ridiculous moniker like 'Slash', then complain he was duped? They saw you coming, babycakes.

53. Well.......well.....who cares if he's a "legend"....or if he smokes.....or anything else
along those lines for that matter.....they are immaterial facts.... The FACT is you
NEVER RELY on what someone else TELLS you in such matters. To do so is well.....
not the brightest thing to do.... I CAN'T imagine that an agent from Sotheby's International
would be stupid enough to misrepresent a "material fact" as BLATANT as saying a
house was in a "gated community" when it was not........it would become evident as
soon as the new "owners" drove up....... But then....if the new "potential owners"
actually saw it FOR THEMSELVES they would have KNOWN..............BEFORE they
bought it........

As much time as these "Hollywood celebrities" of ANY genre spend out partying,
shopping and posing for the camera......if they don't have time to go look at any
property they might want to buy........I just don't feel a lot of sympathy for them.........

I am currently 'house shopping'......but you can believe that I troll the MLS in the
area I'm moving to and DO NOT rely on my agent there to find suitable
housing for me. Relying SOLELY on an agent to come up with potential properties
LIMITS your choices...........and I would NEVER EVER take ANYONE'S WORD "only"
that a floorplan was something I would like......I'd have to SEE it for myself ........

55. Thats why you buy an owner's title policy when you purchase a house. :P Most houses out there have title problems of some sort.

And why the hell didn't he actually check it out in person before buying? He deserves it.

57. refreshing hearing a post board not full of Liberals blaming Bush for there own failures.
Whining and moaning about how Republicans are racist and intollerant, while they are bashing and blaming everyone with Intollerant, racial and demeaning offensive language. LOL.

58. Dumb fool, who does not look at an investment like that first. Maybe he was tricked by a postcard of a local resort.

59. HEY SLASH, EVER HEAR OF HOME INSPECTORS? HOW ABOUT TITLE SEARCH? WHAT I DON'T GET IS WHY EVERYONE IS THROWING HIS POLITICAL BELIEFS INTO THIS. IT'S NOT AS IF THIS COUNTRY HAS RUN AMUCK WITH INTELLIGENT REPUBLICANS... JUST LOOK AT THE WHITE HOUSE.

60. These are people who had every means to be able to check out the property first for themselves. Just call a realtor in LA and have them drive by, or a friend, or (gasp) pay someone to do it.

Geez.

Oh and listing all your physical ailments kinda kills the "rock star" persona there Slash.
