Slash Says He Was Burned on Real Estate Deal

Saul Hudson -- or as he's better known, "Slash" of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver -- and his wife have filed suit over a house they say they were duped into buying.

TMZ obtained the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, against real estate agent Gregory Holcomb and Sotheby's International Realty, in which the Hudsons claim they "thought they had found their dream house," but say it turned out to be a nightmare.

The suit says, among other things, they were told the house was on a private, gated street. The house, they allege, turned out to be on a public street with very little parking. They also say it was much smaller than the 7800 sq. ft. in the listing, and there were issues with the home's title.

Because they say Holcomb and Sotheby's withheld this information from them, the Hudsons have suffered "grief, shame, humiliation, embarrassment, anger, worry, disappointment, nervousness, stomach disorders, backaches, loss of appetite and inability to concentrate on work." They are suing for an amount in excess of $1 million.

61. You mean they didn't look at it or have a builder-type person check it out...DUH!!! Stupid!

62. How about you buy a house like the rest of us? Maybe go and see your home, and the strret it is on. A private street would clearly be marked, or have a gated community.

How about hiring a home inspector to make sure your square footage is right?? Seems to me this couple just wants out of the house for other reasons, and needs to sue to get money to get out.

67. uh. I'm confused. I just bought a house and I looked at it a few times before buying. Does any sane person buy something like this sight unseen? I think not....another lawsuit that is a complete waste of time and wonderful usage of my taxpaying dollars. oh joy....

68. Seems like former Madam turned Mrs Slash forgot she not only knew the house inside out from her party days as a Madam, she was the biggest crystal meth user when she bought the house.
We all know his wife who has him running scared like the wimp that he has become.
Slash, grow some balls, stop hiding behind yr tophat, you look ancient...

69. Many rich folks by property sign unseen based on the legal description. If the description is a lie, then one can sue. For instance, if property is listed as ocean front, and it's not, expect a suit. If you enter in to a contract to buy a 4000 sqft house and it's footprint - which effects your permitting - is only 2000, one can sue. Many of the very rich don't give a hoot what the house looks like because they're going to tear down and ebuild. They're looking for a nice chunk of land in the right area. It happens where I live all the time. My brother bought his house sign unseen, and promptly knocked it down. Now he has a 3 million dollar hole in the ground which will, next year, be a lovely house.

The republicans (or the sole repub posting repeatedly) on here tonight need to take their Prozac.

70. We have a gated community where I live (cant buy a house within the gates for under 5 million) and the houses there, when they go on the market, are sold before a sign goes up. Each gets far above the asking price with Microsoft millionaire money putting clauses in the contracts that tell the agent to go up in 50K increments until the bidding war is won. All the houses there are a minimum mansion size, and will be remodeled again and again, so many are bought sight unseen by buyers who aren't even in town when the property goes on the market. The housing market hasn't crashed here yet, especially in the gated mansion community. You folks just don't understand what people will do for a certain # of square feet in the proper zip code, if they can afford it. Inspection implies you care what condition the house is in when actually the uber-rich are buying for property size and location, then building what they want.

71. This half ass "law suit" (with spelling errors nonetheless) is just a lame attempt to gain some financial compensation for perhaps an adjustment in the market and more realistically for a washed up career. This is just a reflection of the kind of people these two are, nothing more, nothing less. The "grief, shame, humiliation, embarrassment, anger, worry, disappointment, nervousness, stomach disorders, backaches, loss of appetite and inability to concentrate on work" is ultimately going to be doubled when the court shows their "case" is without merit. The best humiliation is yet to come...I love it!

72. Obviously they choose to take no personal responsibility for their actions. As any normal buy knows, you have an obligation to at least look at the property (sober) to see if it meets your requirements.
No one FORCED them to buy this house - not the agent nor Sotheby's.
They CHOSE to buy it on their own volition. Their arguments only show that either they are lying, or that they were drugged out of their minds during the whole process. Probably a little of both.

This smells of greed and a desire for publicity.

73. this is a stupid news story, i bet it's not the whole story.... and what do you guys have against Slash anyway?
really he's just a guy who loves to play guitar? he hasn't hurt anyone has he??

and i seriously doubt that he would sue someone without good reason, I mean he is busy enough, i don't think he sues people just for the sport of it!!!!

74. Everyone check the house properly and then buy it, isn't it?
