Alicia Keys: TMZ Has Nothing on Me!

Popular pianist Alicia Keys was signing autographs after a free outdoor concert in New York yesterday, when she spotted a TMZ camera and said, "TMZ, y'all ain't got me bad yet." She's a Key-per!

Meanwhile, in L.A: "Survivor" winner Earl Cole revealed what he does with the prize money, Scientolomom Jenna Elfman dashed home to her baby, and Michael Bay admitted to doing a bland interview -- on purpose.

18. Does she speak English?? Oh, I guess that's her street side speaking. Someone explain what her "gift" is. Her voice is the same wispy, whinning, annoying drone as every other female moaner in her genre. And with the same predictable, crap material, too. Whatever.

19. I absolutely love Alicia, she proves that class can come from the Hood. Something I've been saying all too long. I would say something else that's on my mind, but I don't wanna break up the positivity. Let somebody else do that first
Hell we just found out that Kerry Brothers (Her long time production and writing partner was her man. I always figured he was. He's always around. He'd be in the background, but he was always there.

Kerry and Alicia founded "Krucial Keys' in 1996. The company is a soulful group of producers, musicans, songwriters, artists and composers. Kerry is also Alicia's man. They have been together for over 5 years now. Krucial worked with Alicia on 'Songs In A Minor' and 'The Diary of Alicia Keys'. Kerry Brothers does a great job with production and doing instruments and also with infusing their successful formulas with Alicia's style. Like Alicia said he is her partner. He co-wrote with Alicia 'Who's that Girl' track added on Young Soul Power II album. In an interview with a British newspaper, Alicia said she met Brothers hanging out in Greenwich Village when she was 14. "Everybody would go every night of the week to the Village to play basketball, drive around, walk around, party, just freestyle on corners. It was alive. We were both into music," she explained. Of course, keeping the boyfriend under wraps has lead some to speculate that Keys leaned toward the k.d. lang side of the jukebox. But she told: "I don't know where that's coming from. It's not that I have any problem with people who are gay, but I'm just not." Good news for Kerry ;)

20. 13. Thank god she got rid of those nasty braids.

Posted at 9:36AM on Nov 16th 2007 by abby

Those nasty braids she wore are part of her culture. My culture. She wore then beautifully. Just because she's lighter than most don't forget she is black. Y'all just don't know how to be unoffensive do you?

21. Abby, you are ignorant. Alecia's braids were classy and representative of her African heritage. So, for you to call them "nasty" is an insult to African and African-American people around the world.

22. I love her and I want her to make love to me....She is a true talent!!!!!!

23. Abby, you are an idiot! Alecia's braids were representative of her African heritage. So for you to call them "nasty", is an insult to African and African-American people around the world. I guess you like it better when she relaxes her hair to make it straight like a "white" woman. Well, guess what? She's not one. So, when she wears her hair like a woman of color she's showing pride in culture and her people. If you can't accept that, then you're just plain racist and stupid.

I feel as though I need to educate the white people on TMZ on what not to say. I feel I'm doing them a Public Service by stopping them from getting their ass beat by a person less sensible then say someone like me Thank you Victoria. Braids go back to our times before The Euro's came, bribed our village kings into selling them his followers into slavery. Snatched us from our God Given land and brought us here to build this country. Unlike Caucasians, we cannot wash our hair every day. It would cause dandruff. Our scalps are not naturally moisturized (unless you're of mixed heritage like Alicia This isn't a racial thing I learned this in beauty school when I was 18) Y'all (as in white america) cut your hair wet. We can't do that because when our hair dries it seems to get shorter. And there was your education on Ethnic hair differences.

25. @nonnie

Of course they won't comment on her, she DOING THE RIGHT THING! They dont want to comment on the good that people do, they would rather comment on the negative things and let people form judgements about them. Or they would rather post a story on TMZ so all the racist can comment on how 'hood' she is and how "you can take a person out the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of the person" and how R&B and Rap are distroying our country. She's a very positive individual and i think she prefers to be out of the negative headlines. As long as she continues to make great music i'll support her.
