36. I had the honor of meeting John Travolta in Florida, and i can tell you for certain he is heterosexual NOT homosexual~! Sometimes i wonder about the rumor mill. Mr Travolta is a kind, and decent man. In some families, male to male show of affection by a kiss is the norm...we Americans put so much more into a show of affection than the Europeans. Lighten up

40. I don't understand why our society is so uncomfortable with men showing affection to one another. John Travolta obviously has great affection for Kirk Douglas, and is expressing that affection in a kiss. It is what it is. What purpose, other than sensationalism, is there in reading any more into it? I grew up kissing my family members and close friends on the lips - male and female, and I still do. My husband and I kiss our children on the lips, and I would expect my children will do the same when they're adults. Why do some find the need to ascribe a negative connotation to a simple act of affection?
