Pretty Woman, Pretty Handicapped?
Julia Roberts and hubby Danny Moder sure looked fine as they did some grocery shopping at Hows in Malibu yesterday afternoon.
So why did they feel the need to park in a handicapped spot? That's a Britney move!

18. It must be true how all of her neighbors say she lives like she is the only person who matters in this world.
I'll never forget one of our little neighbors ran into her in Taos, and he was totally star-struck, poor kid and he said "Hi" to the witch. And she told him "Get out of the way now!"

19. It amazes me how many people on here are just ready to believe the headline. If you really look, he is backing up, perhaps out of the spot in front of him, and the handicap spot was behind him. Look at the direction of the steering wheel. And really, you know how the photographers work. There are in front of the car, trying to get a photo of Julia, so of course, the handcap sign will be visible thru the back of the car.
USE YOUR COMMON SENSE PEOPLE.

20. If you'd have no qualms about sleeping with a married man, you'd have no qualms about parking in a handicapped space.

21. I guess because she is famous she deserves the ease of not having to park far away from the store. You know, because someone like a police officer who has been paralyzed in the line of duty, or a child with muscular dystrophy, they can get off their lazy butts and walk!! Julia and Danny have kids, it is obviously a minor inconvenience for them to have to walk farther, making them do so would be a moral abomination.
I hope one of their stupid kids develops a serious physical handicap one day and they have to see what it's like to never be able to find a spot to park which allows their child to get in their wheelchair next to the car, because lazy, perfectly healthy people feel like they are SO IMPORTANT that saving them 2 minutes time is totally worth making someone with a serious handicap not be able to go to the store, or have to go through severe pain to just get to the store entrance. I'm so sure in that situation they would cheerfully understand when all the handicapped spots were taken by perfectly able people.

22. Perhaps he was making a K-turn? This photo is not proof that they stopped in the space.
Now I am not a fan of Julia at all, but just cant help but wonder if this is true. I mean, who does that?

23. What a charmer.
Posted at 12:08PM on Nov 18th 2007 by Julia Roberts Has ALWAYS Pretty Much Sucked, IMO
24. I am disabled and I think it's horrible that someone like her and her husband could do such a thing. They should be happy that they are well and don't need handicapped parking. I guess she thinks she entitled. Pathetic creep!!

25. Umm... is it possible that this photo was taken when they were just backing out of a "regular" parking spot... Just because there's a handicapped pole behind the car doesn't mean that they were backing into that spot. Gotta give people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to papparazi shots...

27. OMG. This is so freakin' frustrating! I'm handicapped and every single time that I have to park far away and struggle to get to the store or whereever else I'm trying to get to because some jerk that doesn't have a placard/plates parks in the handicapped spot and saunters into the store with a hop in their step---it is SO illegal and the fines are massive...it's just a matter of, where the hell are the people/cops who are supposed to be enforcing these laws?! I guess celebutards are above the law.

28. You people are so gullible. The picture is probably taken out of context. He could have been backing out of another spot and just turning around. Think people! Grab a brain. They are still in the car. Show me a picture of the car parked there after with them not in it and I'll believe it.

29. I agree, #6! Long ago, before tmz, celebrities were free to violate the law in peace.
boo hoo...

30. I am no Julia fan, but I do have to agree with the other posters who say it looks more like they are doing a K type turn, backing out of a regular parking spot into the handicapped spot, to then pull out. The position of the steering wheel I think supports this. Of course, it is possible that they were parked there, but I would not jump to that conclusion based on this photo.
