Pretty Woman, Pretty Handicapped?
Julia Roberts and hubby Danny Moder sure looked fine as they did some grocery shopping at Hows in Malibu yesterday afternoon.
So why did they feel the need to park in a handicapped spot? That's a Britney move!

467. I watched the video on TMZ...and yes they not only pull into the space but they both get out of the vehicle and go inside...Julia then comes out and gets on her cell phone. I understand that these celebs get STALKED by the paparazzi, but to park in a handicapped spot is unexceptable. They are fortunate not to be handicapped. Let them live one day in the life of a handicapped person ...that NEEDS that space and I guarantee you...they wont ever do it again. Shame on Julia Roberts and her hubby.

468. Actually, I've seen the photos on other sites that show them both walking out of the store and getting into the car (and not looking very happy about being seen either) so it IS true. Not a K turn, not anything but them parking in a handicapped spot and shame on THEM.

469. It is rediculous for a person to use a handicap parking tag because they think they are "something". I do know people can look healthy and be very ill and need the tag. I dont think this applies to this couple. A couple that can go to work every day of their life.

471. I have always been a Julia Roberts fan, but apparently she and her hubby think they can do whatever they want. That is breaking the law, not just a celebrity thinking she is all that. So where is her ticket? My daughter parked in a handicapped area, forgot to put up the handicapped placard, and got a ticket for 500 dollars.

472. Number 460.....Do you really think TMZ just makes these things up? They showed video on their show of Danny backing into the handicapped parking and he and Julia leaving the car. Then she returned to the car with his help, probably because of all the photogs in the store, and he returned to the store. It shows her sitting in the vehicle. I would say YOU are the idiot.

474. I have heard from my friend's son that was in Runaway Bride" that Julia is a bitch, but that photo shows nothing. They could be backing out of somewhere and that sign was in the background. Who cares, people do it all the time. If your father has a reason for the tag, you are breaking the law if you use it without him in the vehicle.

478. Look closely at the angle of the sign and his direction into the space. If he is in fact parking, It is not in a handicapp spot. And who is to say he is parking, maybe he was already parked and backing out of a nearby stall that positioned him in that direction as he reversed.
I am disabled (amputee) due to a drunk driver. I see people park in the disabled spots that don't legally belong there. I will be the first to speak if I see an infraction but this image is misleading. It does not clearly show the full 'picture' and clearly is being used in this case to incite controversy.
If they in fact 'parked' there, SHAME on them. If NOT, Shame on TMZ for misleading

480. It's pathethic!!!!!!!!!!!!! Both myself (30) and my husband (26) are handicapped (physically) and have been all of our lives due to conditions we were born with. It's hard enough for me to get to walk so far due to my heart problems w/ mobility due to my legs and back. It just makes me so mad when I go to the grocery store to go shopping and people are illegally parked in handicapped. I always turn them in. Marked carts are another story. Big stores like wal-mart they are almost always all being used when I need one. I'm average weight for my height.... most of the people using them are at least 300-500 pounds here and end up breaking the carts, because they're too lazy to walk their weight off. I have no problem w/ those who have oxygen or other medical conditions and are obese using them (good example, my mother who has MS, a brain anurysm, and heart problems)....But, being too lazy to walk is a excuse. I busted a 12-yr. old boy one day who thought it was a toy.... his mom let him get away w/ but the store manager kicked them out of the store. We have fought to get businesses up to ADA code in our area, especially since we live near a large community of seniors in the next town next to ours and that most of that town was not up to code. I fight for this because I care and I work in a job (which my employer accommodates my disability and my employer is disabled as well) and I work w/ other handicapped patrons. I fought to get more ADA parking spaces adequate for the facility (they were short several spaces) and made it happen as well. Because of this, I have gained respect from several members in my community.
