Pretty Woman, Pretty Handicapped?
Julia Roberts and hubby Danny Moder sure looked fine as they did some grocery shopping at Hows in Malibu yesterday afternoon.
So why did they feel the need to park in a handicapped spot? That's a Britney move!

91. You guys are right as far as the handicap sign in the rear. I live down the road, I go to the karate studio next to hows and I shop at hows. I have been to hows twice today. Today was the malibu AYSO playoffs and I had to run in there to get snacks for the games at malibu high, which is right down the road on morning view dr. After the last game today(boys U12 finals) i had to buy groceries there as I do almost on a daily basis.
I want to know where those plants are too. There are only two handicap spots in the parking lot. 1. is in front of the sand box near Starbucks and 2. the other is directly in front of hows where there are NO plants.
this seems to be fraudulent. But who knows, you know how paps are.

92. I will go take a pic tomorrow of the hows parking lot, which also consists of the zuma general store, dry cleaners, a karate studio (which i will keep nameless) and a starbucks, and the mailbox place between karate and dry cleaners..
anyone wanna see the front of hows, ill send you one.

93. Sorry, I'm not buying this at all. The driver is in motion and maneuvering the vehicle. If they had parked in the Handicap spot the Photographer would have had the big $$$$ shot. which would have been with the car parked, and Julia and Danny getting out of the stopped vehicle with the sign in the shot. This is to ambiguous and can easily have been manipulated by the Photog to get any attention. Its easy to jump to wrong conclusions when the Paps try to lead you that way.

Can you post the link to the other websight? Many of us would like to clearly see what happened.

96. #92 Erica,, if you go to x17online, they have the pictures. You can clearly see they are parked in the handicapped space. Julia's hubby parked the car (the big SUV's trunk side is facing the Handicapped sign). Hope that helps. I think Perez has it posted too.

97. #93 no doubt, you are not getting it. That is not hows in the trancas area of the bu. I live by hows. I go to karate there and shop at hows. That pic might be somewhere else, but that is not hows, no way, no how, and no anything. So i seriously doubt that tmz is being forthright here.

98. I think it is wrong for them to park in that spot. I am disabled and when people park in special spots it takes away from the ones who really need to park there.

99. I think they may have just been using the space momentarily to turn their car around. Otherwise, there would be no one in the car or she would be off the phone gathering her purse and stuff getting ready to go into the store.
It seems to me that everyone is too quick to try to tar and feather someone just because they're famous.

100. The handicapped sign is not in the back of their car; it is on a pole at the head of the parking space and you're just seeing the top part above their car.

101. Why is everyone complaining when we, the public, are to blame for their behavior?
We treat them like royalty and when they act like royalty, we complain.
We cannot have it both ways guys.

102. Just because they look as if they are in that spot means nothing, how do WE know they PARKED there, it's just a picture not a VIDEO, maybe they pulled in for some reason (like getting out of the way for an oncoming car or oh i don't know the stalkerazzi)and actually PARKED somewhere else, don't judge unless you have the whole complete story and can you really trust TMZ ?

103. You people are a bunch of HATERS!
If you had the money to throw away like the people who occasionally park in disabled parking spaces you to would do it.

104. "And at one time there used to be respect for the handi-capped too."
And I wonder what you're referring to. Are you referring to when people with disabilities were put in institutions, or when people couldn't (and still can't) get jobs based on their disability? Oh, you must be talking about the days when it was ok to call people names because they have a disability, assume they are all beggars and make fun of them. People here, arguing against Julia Roberts, are still using outmoded terms like "handicap" and "retarded." I guess it shows you that we have a bigger educational and sensitivity issue in our country than having some ego-inflated celebrity park in an ACCESSIBLE parking space. Here's a lesson. The world "handicap" comes from old English, meaning a person who begged for money. They would put their hat or cap in their hand to collect money. These people were soon labeled as "handicapped." To this day, people with disabilities are associated with that word even though it has no dignity associated with it. TMZ, learn the terms before you mock somebody else for being insensitive.
