George Clooney Schools Paps on Driving

TMZ obtained video of George Clooney seriously scolding the paparazzi trying to photograph him while he drove his motorcycle through L.A. -- Georgie don't play that!

Clooney was accompanied by girlfriend Sarah Larson, and was so P.O.'d by the aggressive paps -- he pulled over to lash out at some who he said were cutting off other vehicles to get a good shot of him. George is a little touchy -- and who can blame him? He and Larson were involved in a New Jersey crash in September when they were hit while riding a motorcycle -- leaving George banged up and Sarah with a busted ankle.

Even when he's upset -- he's hot.

61. hi i'd just like to say "Good for you George", it's about time someone did something about these stupid papparazzi besides our lovely Angelina and Brad and anyone else that's come under the spot by papparazzi as well as being in danger by them, i think about Princess Diana and Dodi, they were chased through that tunnel by papparazzi.. We all know that papparazzi will do anything to get a picture, they're ruthless, uncaring creatures. Anyway i'm glad to see George and Sara were still in one piece after that run in. Take care all,....Lynne

63. Kudos George! Hollywood needs to have some stiff regulations for Paps, perhaps tough licensing, in so that we can weed out the losers, from the pros.

65. I have been riding motorcycles for 23 years and I have seen the video of George riding his motorcycle. IMO he is not a very experienced rider and is going to get himself hurt if he doesn't be careful. He doesn't use his lane properly and it seems like he is more interested in how he looks on the motercycle than he does for his saftey.

I don't like George Clooney. I think he is a crybaby and a jerk to the public. He thinks highly of himself and often snubs his fans, the very people who made him rich and famous. All being said, I don't want to see him hurt.

So, George don't blame the paparrazzi. You do not have the right to tell them what to do. You gave up that when you became a famous movie star. Stay off the motorcycle and be safe. As they say there are only two types of riders, those that have been down and those that are going down.

Give up being a movie star and move to BFE Montana so I don't have to listen to you act like a 3 year old who was just told they couldn't have any candy, and you get to ride your motorcycle all you want without the paparrazzi bothering you.

66. Your right George! I've made comments previously on the paparazzi behavior. BACK OFF TMZ! And everyone else. 6 feet of space. At Least! Princess Diana. Do I need to say more? How would you like it if someone was always up your ass? There should be a law. Actually there is. It's called STALKING! More than 3 times in a certain amount of period.

67. A paparazzi should be required to have a license and credentials from a legitimate news organization. They run around claiming "freedom of the press" (or,as I like to call it,"crapping on the Constitution") but every jerk-off with a digital camera is not a member of the press.Every dork with a blog is not the press.I saw something on TMZ about pre-teen paparazzi, you gonna tell me they're part of the press??? Having a digital SLR doesn't make you Dan Rather.
I don't feel sorry for idiots like Paris Hilton or Britney Spears. They asked for it,encouraged it,and would be nothing without it.But stars like George Clooney,Tom Cruise,Nicole Kidman, and the like, don't need the publicity, don't want it,and don't deserve to have every moment of their private life intruded upon.

68. George, George that was really stupid; pull over, write down their plates; call the police!!! Ever heard of road rage? There was more than one of them; only one of you and I don't think Sarah could have saved you; if she wasn't hurt too. I honestly wish that I was in a car behind them with a camera; I think they would have some explaining to do. I also like the idea of hosing down the camera equipment, but if Georges luck is anything like mine, he'd end up having to pay for it.

69. Jersey Boy, you said it, but the photographers don't have a right to endanger anyone's life by driving recklessly just to get a shot. When these people first start to climb the celebrity ladder they're happy enough for the flashing cameras everywhere, but once they get to the top, they no longer want it. They know what they're getting into, so what do they expect? Without the photographers, their pictures wouldn't be splattered all over the media, poor things.

70. I have ridden a bike and can attest to the idiots on the road who cut you off on a regular basis. Who cares if he is a Movie star? Does that make it OK to break the law and almost cause him to crash? Does being a Movie Star mean someone can come along and threaten your life? You nits who think he is "Over Reacting" need to ride a motorcycle and experience for yourself what it's like, trust me you will find out rather quickly. I think he restrained himself rather well & props to him for not stomping a mudhole into those 2. If you notice he basically let them film the entire thing. And when the hell did we start calling Paparrazi (or however the $#@% you spell it) Paps? Sounds like Pap Smear... have we really become that lazy? all I can say is Clooney Rox! and calling star photographers "paps" is downright silly... Paps... ROTFL!!! sheesh... *walks away shaking his head... paps :P

71. If we are supposed to be a democracy and are supposed to be able to pass laws favored by the majority, why can't we simply make this sort of celebrity chasing illegal? it isn't safe. It's invasive of the few precious minutes of privacy that celebrities do enjoy so why not deal with it. After all, the Supreme Court has specifically held that every person in this country has a right of privacy. Doesn't that include George Clooney, and the rest of them? Don't they have the right to simply be left alone? Much of the fault for this behavior, by the way, rests with us - the people who buy magazines with their pictures in them, watch TV with intrusive reports about their private lives, etc. If we stop buying it, the aggressive photographers will have no market for their products. Fat chance.

72. Re: #9 - Hollywood types may have to make sacrifices in terms of dealing with fans and the media in their everyday lives but no one has to "sign on" to being put in danger, let alone having their children put in danger because the paparazzi want some pictures. George Clooney was completely right in pulling over and confronting those photographers the way he did. It was plain and simple - they put him and his girlfriend in danger. I don't think you or anyone else for that matter would have handled it any differently given the chance. I was also glad that Julia Roberts pulled over that photographer and scolded him as well. These two, for example, are intelligent individuals who just would just like to have the chance to do the things that you and I take for granted...taking their kids to school or going for a drive with that special someone.

73. A friend told me about this. Doesn't matter who George is. NO ONE has a right to endanger the public, either bikers or cage drivers. I still ride, although I'm partially disabled due to an arrogant "driver". Broken bodies and lives can not be mended by either lawsuits or beatings (no matter how well deserved). Glad I'm just an average joe. I'd lose it.

Tell 'em George!

74. I think the celebs should bring charges every time one of these numbskulls engage in this kind of dangerous driving. It's sickening to listen to these guys saying "Say you're sorry" and "I apologize." An apology is supposed to be sincere. Saying something you don't mean, with the full intention of continuing the behavior you are making the apology for is craven, dishonest, disrespectful, and just adds to the coarsening that is going on with our media.

It sounded as if they were driving without license plates. That is self-indictment right there. They know they are doing wrong, and they actually plan to do wrong, so again, the apology is just a demeaning meaningless utterance used to hide--they rely on the celebs better nature (if they apologize, and the celeb is still angry or wants to press charges, the celeb might feel bad--how grossly manipulative. This "apology" seems like one of their tactics when confronted by an understandably upset celeb.

Legitimate people making their living with a camera should also band together to keep out the ghouls who prey on their fellow humans by trying to dehumanize them.

Good for Clooney for scolding them, but I wish he and other people harrassed by the camera-wielding vultures had more legal recourse. Harrassing people for a living is not a legitimate way to make money, and should not be legal.

It's a shame that the celebs have to feel that it's such a tricky line since their living is often made through lots of media exposure. C'mon, in all fields, there are standards, the media should not tolerate a lack of standards in their field.
