Inquest Into Daniel Smith's Death Begins

91. A Refresher on the British Style Inquest.

Daniel's Inquest is now in full swing and is being conducted in the expected dignified manner of British style proceedings. That is:

- say what you know, what you saw and what you did and then sit down; no conjecture, no gossip and no theorizing. Generally, it is short and sweet.

- no American style hysterics allowed such as shouting accusations in the guise of a question. No questions that anticipate the testimony of another witness. No questions that relate to matters outside the question of Daniel's death.

- further questioning of any witness is possible if first-hand information of another prompts questions of one who has already testified. The Magistrate or Jury members can ask for clarification of earlier witnesses if later witnesses' testimonies warrant.

- most importantly it is not an adversarial proceeding, unlike a criminal trial.

Magistrate Campbell runs a tight ship. It's exciting to watch the functioning of a foreign country's infrastructure. Inquest witnesses are not compelled to testify, rather they are requested. And people can offer to be witnesses.

For those who were expecting HKS to suddenly have the cuffs slapped on him and see him dragged off to prison will be disappointed.

only cause we know he did it and the private investigator in So California knows that Daniel knew Howard was going to kill him mom. Howard had to silence Daniel.. well, if we were going to commit a crime and someone knew to tell on us, wouldn't we??

HOWARD FESS UP... you can be around lots of gays then and you could get more legal business built in there in prison with the boys.

93. #23 in the Bahamas you CANNOT require an American Citizen to appear in the inquest, you can only "advise" them to be there. That's little more than a polite please.....He cannot be forced to show up.

95. Virgie told the court she was going to be part of Daniels estate. What did he leave a sock in Texas 12 years ago? This vile women is just after the money. I thought she said she didn't want any money, but here she is trying to get part of Dannielynn estate. This is the mother that after Daniel died made a mad dash to the camera to bash her daughter? 98% of the american people thought that was crude and low life. She has NO education or class. Even if you don't like Howard what she did was just trailor park low. If anything she should have kept her mouth shut in the sad time Anna had to handle Daniel's death. But, NO she wanted all the attention. Daniel wanted nothing to do with Virgie. He saw how she ran to any paper that would come her way to talk about Anna. Now we have splash mag. filming her at the grave site for money, going to the morgue, for money, going to the grave again, for money. Yep, she loved them...DEAD, money money money

96. Val, You idiot! That PI wasn't a real PI! He was a two-bit actor in O'Quinn's back pocket! You can look up his SAG card! His name is Jack Harding...and, oh, why isn't this paragon in the Bahamas? Because the Bahamaian Police have talked to him and even though his name was on earlier inquest lists, I suppose they found his version of the story "suspect" since it changes every time he tells it!

98. I hope they hang Vergie (or it that VEGGIE?). She's nothing but a money grubber and doesn't deserve one cent. She was abusive (at least mentally) to her daughter when she was alive and doesn't deserve anything now that she's passed! Power to Howard!!

Why is HKS in the court room when he's going to be a witness? Is there anyone on this blog that's in Nassau, that can give us some real info?

103. I believe Virgie Aurthur, has every right to be at the Inquest for her Grandson Daniel Wayne Smith. Virgie is family. I only have respect compassion and empathy for Virgie. I wish her and her family only the best. It is my hope that the Inquest will be fair for all, and the truth will be revealed. It it my hope that the Inquest when it is concluded will give Virgie the answers to how her Grandson died, and she will get closure. I do not believe that Virgie is interested in money at all. It is closure and justice that she seeks. Money does not bring back your loved ones or help you to heal, but closure and justice does. Trust me I know. As always I will not speculate on the outcome of the Inquest, because I have no idea what the outcome will be. I am waiting for the courts to decide. IMO

This is the address she gave in court in Florida... right around the corner from her son's trailer! Don't believe everything you are told... LOOK IT UP!
