The Los Angeles Lakers trounced the Chicago Bulls last night at Staples Center, much to the chagrin of Mel Gibson and his son. 
Courtside seats for Lakers games usually run over $2,000 a piece. Why's Mel so glum? Perhaps because he was roundly booed when his face appeared on the Jumbotron. We're told that Mel then stuck out his tongue, causing further booing.

I just checked Getty images and now know TMZ was one sided once again. In what I saw on Getty Mel and his son are having a great time. Maybe the game was just getting boring when that photo was snapped?

His kid didnt do anything wrong, booing Mel with him there was bad taste. How many dads take their sons out to watch a ball game? Its the all American thing. I can only imagine what that kids been though......he deserved court side seats!!!!

Mel is a celebrity who did a stupid, offensive, embarrassing thing. Part of being famous means being in the public eye. Which means having every move you make scrutinized by millions of people. You need to be a little more careful in public when people are watching your every move. He screwed up big time, and now he has to deal with the fallout he has created. He's done nothing to try to redeem himself other than say I'm sorry and I'm an alcoholic. Sorry doesn't always cut it. It really sucks that his innocent kid is winding up in the middle of it, but again, it is a problem Mel created for himself. If he doesn't want to be heckled by the crowd, then he shouldn't place himself right in the center of it.

Yes, as if no one else in that crowd has ever made mistakes. That world apparently is full of hypocrites, so Mel shouldn't be concerned. He is allowed to be just a guy on occasion.He is a saint compared to most of the people in the sports and entertainment business. Multi married with mistresses and hookers and illegal drugs. Guess a man that is faithful to his family is the one to be booed. How pathetic!!
