Mad Mel

The Los Angeles Lakers trounced the Chicago Bulls last night at Staples Center, much to the chagrin of Mel Gibson and his son.

Courtside seats for Lakers games usually run over $2,000 a piece. Why's Mel so glum? Perhaps because he was roundly booed when his face appeared on the Jumbotron. We're told that Mel then stuck out his tongue, causing further booing.

121. Why do Mel and his son looked stressed? Maybe because they know there are cameras fixed on them waiting to get a negative shot. I bet the cameras got 100 normal-looking shots before they got one where both Mel and his son looked less than thrilled.

126. You BET they are jealous of him... Why else do they insist on holding a grudge?? and not ONLY because he is filthy stinking RICHER than they will EVER be, but also because they really hate and envy Christians. If he wasn't a Christian and a conservative one at that, they would have forgotten about it a LONG time ago. The only religion that is fair game to bash in this country, is Christianity... and if you're conservative?? OH BOY!!!

128. Looks like Big Mike is also an ignorant bigot. His ignorance is evident in the fact that he does not know that Jews are also white. I am sure he scared many folks with the threat to spit in their face... That sounds real manly. Maybe his real name should be "Tiny Mike."

129. Mels apology was a lie and you have all been suckered into it. He was not sorry for what he said, he was sorry for getting caught - for being exposed as the bigot he is. When he made his fabricated movie, he claimed that he and his family were not bigots. Then, in a drunken, vomitous rage, he removed all doubt of his bigotry AND showed the world his true colors. Don't get sucked into believing his lies.

132. I love Mel Gibson. I think it's so sad that people are so hateful. I'm sure Mel can handle this but subjecting his son to this form of hate is dispicable. He looks like a nice kid to me. I truely believe that the devil (and yes there is a devil as proven by the hatefulness in some of these comments) was upset with the popularity of Mel's movie on the Passion of the Christ. Christians are taught to be forgiving, Christ taught that on the crosss. I'm a Catholic Christians and I have never heard a mean word about another religion from the pulpit. It was our sins that crucified our Lord, not the Romans, not the Jews. I love Jews, my Lord was a Jew. The Catholic faith has Jewish roots. If people (especially Catholics) hate the Jews, it's due to ignorance. God gave us a free will so it's up to you if you want to accept Him or not.

134. Cheeze Pizza, I definitely have heard of the crusuades. What does that have to do with it. Back then we were rather barbaric period. But here is some info to help you.

Crusades
Question from on 01-29-2007:
Hello sir, I would like to ask a question about the crusades. If the (Pope) is infallibe, how could such wars have gone on? I have tried everything to explain this to myself, and I have even tried to accept them as a legitimate and holy war, of course, I prefer not to.

Answer:
The Pope is infallible only when he teaches something officially in the realm of faith and morals. In other matters he is fallible. That does not mean that the Pope was always wrong in blessing the crusaders because the historical fact is that the Muslims almost wiped out western Europe because it was Christian, a feat the accomplished in North Africa, in Palestine and in Asia Minor, which were formerly all Christian. So what is wrong with self defense. Up until the sixteenth century the Muslim Turks were a great threat to Europe. If it were not for the Pope uniting the Christian Kings and Princes, Europe would be part of Turkey today. These are plain historical facts.

135. Mat is either igorant or selective regarding historical facts. He has G W Bush-like beliefs that it is ok to wipe out people of a specific ethnicity because a faction of that ethnicity is a threat. What a holier-than-thou outlook. He selectively justifies the crusades as self-defense, yet ignores the fact that atrocities, including widespread cannibalism, took place as in the Siege of Maarat in 1098 and Christian fury that was expressed in the massacres of Jews that accompanied the movement of the Crusader mobs through Europe during the first crusade. I bet you still believe that there were WMDs in Iraq.
