"The Science Guy" Wants to Send "Wife" to the Moon

Bill NyeBill Nye "The Science Guy" is asking a Los Angeles County judge for protection from his faux wife, after she pulled a late night raid on his flower and produce gardens. One needn't be scientific to know that marriage isn't going well!

TMZ obtained a request for a temporary restraining order, first reported by The Smoking Gun, filed by Nye against his pseudo-wife of just one year, Blair Tindall. In the handwritten documents, Bill claims his estranged gal showed up at his Studio City home on Labor Day, dressed in black and armed with two large bottles "filled with some sort of solvent" to do damage to his garden, which he says provides "food produce."

And it gets crazier!

Nye also alleges that the herbicide was "quite toxic" and thought Tindall might have squirted him in the eyes with it had she gotten closer. Not very Nyes!

Tindall responded to the order by describing the midnight bad vegetables incident as a "foolish, sophomoric act of poor judgment" brought on by a series of personal and family problems. Blair explained that the reason for the attack was that she saw their rose garden on the "Living with Ed" TV show. She claims Nye picked a rose and gave it to Ed Begley's wife on the show and discussed how he had no woman in his life. She also strongly denied being a threat to Nye, and accuses him of "emotional cruelty." The out of orbit couple "wed" last February in a curious ceremony officiated by Pastor Rick Warren, author of "The Purpose Driven Life."

121. Did this woman have a sudden psychotic break that took her back to her teenage years? What an amazingly childish thing to do! It gives all of us sane women a bad name! It's women like her that perpetuate the stereotype that women are hysterical.

122. lilpeanut -- She was referred to as a faux wife and the other names you mentioned because the ceremony was just for show. They weren't actually married. They don't have a marriage licence.

123. Nye got 100% of everything, so cool out. The bride had agreed to not work and be a traditional wife, and went through all her savings out of love for him. She signed over the house, but was still financially liable for it! She was left with nothing, then later received an inheritance when her father died.

124. It sounds like they were never married, that he never filed the marriage papers, and that her behavior was like night & day between the engagement and the ceremony that they had. I saw on another blog that other people had warned him that she was just trying to get married to him for the money and that she would change as soon as that happened. So, the story goes, they had a ceremony, he carried her over the threshold to the house, and her behavior went completely wack-job. He soon informed her that they weren't really married and kicked her out. Sounds like a smart move considering this is a woman in her 40's doing things like attacking his garden with weed killer a full year later. CRAZY!!

125. Married him for his money? You thought maybe it was for his good looks and elegant wardrobe?

126. Oh how funny that that guy thinks she was after him for his money!! Tindall is quite wealthy now, through her books, recordings, and her family's money. Her dad wrote the best-selling American history textbook of all time. Man, he'd be lucky to have her in HIS portfolio. What a moron! Bill Nye was a flash in the pan -- and a full 10 years ago. He's been all over for a decade, and only has only pathetic appearances on reality shows and the weather channel. No wonder he tried to stick her with the mortgage, after she was kind enough to give him their house. What a first-class jerk!
