167. I know how it feels to leave a hospital and not have your baby in your arms with you. My son was sent to another hospital at birth because of the neglect of the doctor. He left this cruel world when he was 8 years old because of the health conditions he suffered at birth. This family will be in my prayes. God bless and be strong.

168. The Company that makes this drug needs to place the label red for the 10,000 dose vial and green for the 1,000 dose vial. This is a common mistake on the adult ICU floor and is a deadly one in the NICU. God Bless those little one's

169. We hope the babies are not permanently harmed; Dennis is a favorite star of so many people. The hospital deserves to be sued for millions and people fired at least, but may get away with this and other errors. which the general public may not hear about. Dennis and family should have had the good fortune to have alrady moved to Texas. Good luck to the babies and Dennis and his wife, and rest of that family..

170. Dennis Quaid is one of my favorite actors.
I sincerely hope that all is going to be well with Thomas Boone, Zoe Grace and their parents.

I sincerely hope that people will stop posting idiotic negative things and just focus on the fact that two children were hurt by a medical mistake, two parents are going through something that they need privacy to make clear decisions as well as giving their children love and attention. They will talk when they are ready.

My prayers go up to the Lord Jesus Christ for Dennis and his family that everything will be alright.

171. keep putting the "money changers" and bean counters in charge -- medical professionals have minimal input and maximum accountability in health care system today -- these mistakes will continue and proliferate until the greedy insurance profiteers learn their place and keep their noses out of medical decisions. Health care professional have very little input in these days of "managed care", yet assume the responsibility and liability
Sorry - this should not have happened-- but this is the price of incompentency

172. dear,bon,bon

it still does not give you the right to judge her. you don't know the reason why she didn't have them herself. it doesn't even matter because these poor innocent babies could die . they did not ask to be put on this earth, and their mom and dad are suffering. if you honestly think that is fair than you are not a very nice person.

it is not up to you or i to judge them for how they brought their babies into this world. that will be between them and the big guy upstairs. and i don't believe the big guy upstairs takes to kindly to the rest of us judging others. but once again that will be between you and him.

i know that i have no right to judge other people because by no means am i perfect and i have made my own huge mistakes in my life. and then there are decisions i have made that others think are wrong and i don't. once again that is between him and i.

once again i would like to wish dennis and his wife my deepest sympathy's. and i pray for a miracle that their babies will recover fully and live a blessed life.

174. Anyone know why they were in hospital in the first place?

175. Hospital error is the 8th leading cause of death in America, ahead of car wrecks. That equates to one every 13 minutes.

176. I am amazed how people can make insensitive jokes about such a terrible incident. We should all have these anxious parents and these new young lives in our prayers. May God keep them in His care and protection.

179. I would like to add that those responsible for such a ghastly screw up should be fired and punished. Those babies must have suffered such pain from this and could not even tell anyone. I do very much appreciate Mist D's prayer, think it is 91 or 94. It was beautiful and I agree with her in prayer. Merry P.S.

As a mother and grandmother, I am appalled at those who have made some sort of sick joke of this serious like and death matter of two innocent infants. There should be a small corner in h...... for them.

180. Nursing 101...The 5 - "R's". Right patient; Right drug; Right dose; Right Route;Right Time! The pharmacist is the 1st screw-up, even if a technician stocked the med drawers with the wrong dose of Heparin....it's the Pharmacists responsibility to double check those meds. His license to practice needs to be reviewed by the Pharmacy Board. The nurses involvedin administering the drug need to take a mandated medication error prevention course . Then again ,since they can't read labels, maybe they need to get out of nursing. You don't ever, ever, ever take giving medication for granted...especially on babies & kids. That's a specialized unit to work on. They should be reprimanded heavily. Hope these babies survive this ordeal.
