Dr. Adams Cuts and Runs from Larry King

He was supposed to finally discuss the death of his most famous patient, Dr. Donda West, but Dr. Jan Adams bailed on "Larry King Live" instead -- walking off the set live on the air.

Adams did not come out for the first segment of the show -- as he was scheduled. He appeared after the first commercial break, and told Larry King that he would not speak.

Adams then took off his earpiece and walked off the set. Larry quickly threw to commercial.

Later in the show, Alan Tenenbaum, an attorney for Dr. Adams, explained that Adams received a letter from attorneys representing the West family. The letter asked him not to appear on the show.

King left open the possibility that Adams could appear on the show again Wednesday.

106. What was the point of him coming on the show at all? Did he really think Larry King was NOT going to ask him ANY questions about Donda West? C'mon. He probably has more regard for his own personal interests than the West family. If the West family did NOT want him to appear on Larry King or any other show, Adams probably knew that already so why come on the show? What did he think? Larry King was just going to discuss everything else except Donda West He should have respected the West's family's wishes BEFORE he ever even entered the studio, much less than when he was all made up, miked and warming Larry's seat with his butt. Who's kidding who here?

108. I am a physician in a surgical specialty. I am NOT a plastic surgeon. I just want to say that being Board Certified DOES matter. The way that you become Board Certified is to first complete a residency and pass rigorous exams within your particular speciality. Then, for your first several years of practice, you are "Board Eligible." After 2-3 years, if you have PRACTICED PROFESSIONALLY WITH A GOOD RECORD, competent surgeons become Board Certified. The process involves through a rigorous review of the physician's clinical record, going over specific clinical cases, including ones with problems, in addition to oral examinations with experienced physicians in that particular field.

109. No #101 La Shawn is La Shawn and I am a patient of Dr. Adams and I am actually telling what we Christians call the truth and I am obvoiously a patient who took the risks into consideration and I am actually not trying to catch a case with Dr. Adams.

112. Didn't he (The Dr.) say something to the effect that the West family asked him not to appear on Larry King and talk about the case?? If that's really accurate, sounds like Kanye's playing the race card again. Sounds like he doesn't want the (black) doctor facing a tribunal from Larry and make it bad for black doctors everywhere(??) Very strange. His father is a former Black Panther (look it up on Wikipedia). Still, It was unbelievably arrogant and disrespectful to Larry for the doctor to cancel the interview while on the air. This guy should have his license revoked.

113. This sounds awful, but, I am responsible for my own choices so my personal policy is to never seek treatment from black doctors or dentists.

And, I avoid black lawyers like they're the bubonic plague. As you can tell, I am still alive to make this racist remark.

That doctor walked off Larry King's Show because Larry is a pro when it comes to asking the right questions. A lawyer couldn't ask better questions. That doctor is a seriously flawed man and risked publicly incriminating himself. Just like a professional ball player, he is dodging and weaving even if he had to upstage Larry.

114. I couldn't agree with you MORE, Cynic. She has ZERO integrity. It's all about raking in the almighty $$$ at ALL COSTS. That way she can hire a few more whites to serve her and feel better about herself. It is SO obvious she is a totally different person once the director hollers cut. Amazing how SOME are SO gullible.

115. Perhaps Dr. Adams remembered last week's show in which he broadsided
Marie Osmond with a question about her son...although that was not supposed
to be a part of the session. If he was criticized for broadsiding Marie, why is
it OK for him to have the opportunity to do the same to Dr. Adams? I call the
incident 'poetic justice'..

116. This yokel is obviously seeking publicity from this. If he had no intention of "breaking his word" to the family about staying quiet, then why did he agree to to go on the show in the first place? The con artist threw a hook out there and Larry swallowed it. Doctor, my a$$!!!

117. JAN ADAMS IS A ARROGANT ASS. ADAMS IS ALSO A NARCISSIT. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE BUT HIMSELF. IF THEY HAD PUT HIM IN JAIL OVER THE LAST THREE MAL-PRACTICE SUITS HE HAS, WETS'S MOTHER WOULD STILL BE ALIVE. ADAMS BELIEVES ONLY IN THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR. WHAT A WHIMP. "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID."

118. This guy is getting off easy, WHAT DO YOU THINK AMERICA'S REACTION WOULD HAVE BEEN HAD IT BEEN THE MOTHER OF SOME FAMOUS WHITE ENTERTAINER. This bozo, would of probably already been under PEER REVIEW by the MEDICAL BOARD.

120. UILANI,
Your comments and the way that you present them make it CLEAR that you have the I.Q. of a salad bar.
