Mary Kate OlsenMary-Kate Olsen has been hospitalized with a kidney infection.

PEOPLE is reporting the 21-year-old pint-sized actress went to a New York ER and was admitted to a hospital on Monday. Her rep told the mag, "Mary Kate got a kidney infection. She's resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so."

No word on what caused the infection.

46. I agree with the UTI comments. I had one once, tried to treat it with drinking crandberry juice, and wound up in the ER with a high fever and feeling like I was dying.
The doc gave me a HUGE shot, and told me if I still had a fever tomorrow, I was to check myself into the hospital for treatement! I got better pretty quickly, and I damn sure didn't want to go to the hospital cause my peepee burned.

I think some of the same things that all of you do too, but just to be fair, I am none of those things, am very healthy, and I almost died with a kidney infection which was brought on by getting e coli from a TGIF restaurant. I was in the hospital for a month. Although we all know she probably does everything you say, does not mean that she can't be just sick. It is a medical fact that alot of twins have some under developed organs.. especially kidneys.

51. Well unfortunetly I would have to say that you people are just plain cruel. She is suffering from a serious addiction/mental illness and all you do is comment on the negetive. Did you ever think that maybe this is in result of the previous disorder? Not something new or exsisting? Be a litte kind especially when you dont know the whole story!
