Rhys Meyers -- It's Happy Hour Somewhere!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers said last year he would never drink again. Twice in the last three days does not constitute "never."

Sporting a pair of unfortunate mUggs (man-Uggs), Meyers was seen at 10:00 AM today in London, holding a can of Strongbow Super -- an alcoholic cider that is 7.5% ABV (alcohol by volume -- regular beer is around 5%). Super indeed!

The "Match Point" star was busted Sunday morning after he allegedly got rowdy at Dublin Airport. He was charged with public drunkenness and breach of the peace.

78. Actually Rhys Meyers is a Welsh name and if you ever drank
with UK friends then you would know they can drink we Yanks
under the table effortlessly...
Looks as if he is having growing pains as many young actors
do when fame knocks at the door.

80. For the record, this has received widespread coverage in the British press. The fact of the matter is that his mother had passed away, unexpectedly, a few hours before this was taken. There are photos from the funeral on some of the newspaper websites for British papers. Can anyone blame the guy for dealing with his mum's death with a can of hard cider? He might have had a problem with alcohol in the past, but it doesn't mean that he's going to slide into a puddle of gin now.

81. That is not beer. That is one of those drinks like redbull. If they are going to stalk someone and say they are drinking they had better look at the can. First of all he cannot walk down the street with an open can of beer. Looks like they have gone from stalkibg Brit to this poor chump. At least this guy can't lose his kids because of their BS

86. GOD! I am SO SICK of people assuming all Irish people are drunkards/alcoholics! I'm full-blood, 100% Irish, and absolutely NOBODY in my family is an alcoholic. Sure, they'll have a drink once in a while, but so do Mexicans, Blacks, etc. Also, like many of you've said, nobody's perfect, and I know if I had cameras following me 24/7, I'd probably need a drink, too! Give the guy a break! Jeez!
