Well I guess it’s just the low class environment that you lived. I've stayed in predominately black neighborhoods that had manicured laws, beautiful landscape, no loud music blaring, and no trash around. I have also lived in predominately white neighborhoods that had cars all over the law, animals running muck and using the bathroom on others lawns, trash in the front yard, always yelling at each other even though they were right next to each other etc. etc. But this doesn't give me the impression that all black people are like this or that all white people are like that. You keep trying to take your personal experience and relate it to a whole race of people. Just because you've witnessed some unsavory things from a group of people doesn't mean that this is true for the majority. Maybe you were living in a POOR neighborhood, clearly you weren't living off in the nice suburbs or you wouldn't have seen these types of people. If you place yourself in those surroundings you’re bound to end up with slanted ideals. You wouldn't go to a trailer park and expect to see rose gardens and hedges would you, so why go to the 'HOOD' and expect to see anything different.

32. One day in jail is an idiot sentence, given by an idiot judge, to appease the press and the mob.

Any sentence of less than 5 days is just grandstanding to the crowd the press stirred up.

The whole idea of jail is to get your attention, punish you by denial of most things and activity and hopefully getting you to see that your behavior is unacceptable.

That will not happen in 82 or 84 minutes and not in 24 hours. So imposing such a sentence is just a cop out by the judge to appease the mob.

35. Black people are doing just fine in this country. And its so stupid that ignorant people always point out the old and tired "welfare" response when its not all that accurate. Blacks had been oppressed for centuries as a whole until these equal rights laws came into affect to help non-whites try and get out of poverty. In a short time after the laws were passed (not too long ago), blacks have accomplished alot in a very short time despite centuries of oppression.

Even if blacks takes up a higher percentage of welfare (which they dont), WHO CARES! They have a lot to work from to get out of poverty.

44. I am so glad that our judicial system works. How nice for Tyson to get one day in jail where others would get 6 months or more. No wonder there is so much crime going on in our world, everyone is starting to think well if a celebrity gets only one day....so will I. I guess it all comes down to who you know....is who you bl**....Money....money....and again money. If you have it....you can get almost anything...even a day in jail for stupidity. It just makes me so angry that they get away with everything and normal every day citizens get the book thrown at them. It is time that our judicial system gets thier heads out of thier a**es and treat celebrities the same as they do every day normal citizens.

Did their kin sell them as slaves?
And were they offered the chance to go home, but chose to stay?
