Halo 3 Allegedly "Crashes" -- Gamers Pissed!

Microsoft is being sued by consumers who are upset about the Halo 3 video game frying while they're playing it on the Xbox. Heaven help us!
Halo
TMZ obtained a class action lawsuit filed in Federal Court, which claims Halo 3 is causing major problems when played by people using Xbox systems. Randy Nunez alleges that when he used the nearly $60 game on Xbox it would "crash, freeze, or lock up" while running.

According to the suit, Microsoft and Bungie, the company who makes Halo 3, raked in close to $300 million in the first week. Nerds!

The class action suit seeks over $5 million in damages.

46. #23, Hate to burst your bubble but just because you are in a frat does not make you guys cool!

Playing video games for hours on end every day makes you a nerd.

49. I play Halo 3 for about 5 to 6 hours every Thursday night with up to a half dozen other guys over XBOX Live. None of us have ever had a single crash, lockup, or any other problem for that matter. We've all played the campaign mode as well as the XBOX Live mode. As far as computer software of any kind, Halo 3 is as solid as they come! Sorry for those who have had trouble: maybe there's some other commonality/cause, but you can never tell what is hype and what is real these days. Remember the fake announcement about Hannah Montana's pregnancy and how lame that was yet everyone was made to believe it if only for a day. This smacks of the same thing!

50. Todd Carpenter the lawyer who filed the suit, should be barred from practicing ANY law in all states. How stupid and moronic do you have to be to file a lawsuit on something so ridiculous? Go earn your money the right way losers. Hmm why not sue the local weatherman while your at it cause it rained when it was supposed to be sunny? Go sue the highway department for having too many white lines on the roads.. LOL dude you and this Randy Nunez are a J O K E. Go hide under a rock and stop with all these BS frivilous lawsuits. I should sue YOU for making me type this out right now! LMAO moron.

51. Good to hear JD, because if they get this fixed and I'm convinced of it, I'll go get a 360 too! I like to think that true gamers are not fanboys trapped into buying just one system.

52. I have played Halo 3, 2 and the original on my 360 for multiple hours at a time, no problem, I have the first generation 360, never a problem, don't know what or how they play, sounds like user error

53. Kat, the video game industry makes more money than the movie industry does. I would call that somewhat significant. It is a cheesey, frivolous lawsuit, but people are sick of paying decent money for products that may wreak a machine that cost several hundred dollars at a pop. You obviously don't like games and that's fine, but don't rip on people just because they like to unwind in this manner. I play games about 10 hours a week ( sometimes more). I have: a cool job, a nice good looking girlfriend ( who plays too), a black belt in Kung Fu, 2 motorcycles and an awesome Jeep, lots of friends, can fly a helicopter, and a life in the real world that I enjoy. I LOVE gaming and if that makes me a geek, then I wear that badge proudly! Just what do you do in your freetime? Blog and go out and drink?

54. My Xbox gave me the message "Unplayable Disc" after playing Halo 3 and having it screw my xbox up. It made a very loud noise just before. Scared the crap of me, I thought my Xbox was going to start spitting split-pea soup at me. Needless to say, I had to pay the $99 for the Xbox to be repaired... and now I am without. I hope they settle this lawsuit and anyone who had to have repairs because of it, is reimbursed the $99.

55. You really want to know what this lawsuit is about? Greed. Mr. Nunez stands to make a significant amount of money from his percentage of the suit. Even a small percentage would net him a huge payday, but he is probably the type to take 25%, or something like that, and walk away a rich man. And people wonder why the entire legal system is falling apart. People like him deserve to be censored from the bar.

56. Boy you know damn well Microsoft will fight this tooth and nail. Why?

"crash, freeze, or lock up"

Gee wiz that sound just like the other Mickysoft product that gets ramrodded down everyone's throat.

For those who are oblivious lemmings... I mean WINDOWS and VISTA.

57. Microsoft isn't liable nor is the maker of Halo 3.. Maybe these losers should do something more productive like go outside and date girls..

58. i bought a 360 when they first came out and had no probs. Last sunday when I scored Halo 3, I played it for half hour then it seized up.Played another game after restarting and noticed like a sort of vibration, then another seizure and then the dreaded 3 red rings. I don't think its a coincidence.Getting 360 replaced/repaired at moment, and will probably sell and get an elite.
