31. James - I KNOW what it takes to get a child molestation conviction. Its extremely hard. Many more gulity people go free than vice versa. No way he would have to register as pedophile if he in fact was innocent and did nothing to this little girl. He's a slime ball and if he was innocent all the more reason he would comply with the lasw and would have registered.

33. For the record - I've known this family for years - I used to live in St. Augustine and now live in Asheville. There is a lot more to it than what's listed in this stupid report. He's been dogged by this story for so long and it's unfair. Like James said - the child in question has denied that this ever happened for years - it's all the product of a marriage gone very wrong.

And F---- all of you who are saying 'he should have died in the crash'. You should never say something like that lightly.

38. Bob Burns was Skynyrd's original drummer. He quit after their European tour where they opened for Queen. Artimus took his place in early 1975. I liked Bob Burns better anyhow. Artimus was a second generation Skynyrd member. Only four original members from the first two Skynyrd albums are still alive. They are guitarists Gary Rossington and Ed King, pianist Billy Powell and drummer Bob Burns. Burns quit at the end of December of 1974 and Ed King walked out in the summer of 1975 then rejoined in 1987 then quit again in 1994. Artimus was not as good as Bob Burns IMHO!

42. I also know Artimus personally, as well as his family and have so for a very long time. The entire accusation was due to a very vicious woman and a very nasty break-up. Unfortunately, this happens A LOT when people are accused of horrible things when relationships end with kids involved. These accusations are NOT true and never have been. Artimus's only mistake back then was taking the "deal" due to fear and threats from the most horrible accusations one could ever face...and in the media at that!!!! This is not over, and the kids from this story are now old enough to be able to pursue thier desire to clear his name. Be careful how quick you are to judgements. Yes, it sounds awful, but these types of lies upon innocent people happen all the time...Artimus just happened to be newsworthy!!!!!!!!!!!

43. I always liked Artimus' drumming but this doesn't look so good. If he was set up, somebody is beyond evil. If he did it, he would have gone to jail. Something doesn't add up.

44. He's always been a freak. My Dad worked on some of Skynard's albums and Artimus was always an ass. He was so messed up he tried to throw his drum set through the glass in the recording studio...it's like half a foot thick. His son is really nice though.

45. this was from his crazy ex-wife during a nasty divorce. true,yes he did go for help and was shot!! he is technically a 2nd or 3rd drummer,still he was on that plane and was inducted into the hall of fame! at the time the legal stuff was going on and probably even now there are people who want to take down $kynyrd!! $$. i think he took a plea to stay out of prision. ive heard dozens of stories justy like this,done by the ex-wives!! he can be a lil kooky,but the guy has been thru hell and back,so has all of skynyrd!
